Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the June 10 edition of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WRKY-FM (www.rocky1049.com) and WRKW-FM (www.rocky99.com).
Thanks to our guest this week, Johnstown-based singer, songwriter and performer Ron Gallucci (www.rongallucci.com). We discussed Ron’s new CD, Dizzyland, heard Ron’s perspectives on the songs and creation of the disc, and heard numerous tracks from it. With Ron as the guest, we dug a 1993 song from his former band, Inside Out, from the archive for a “Local Music Flashback.” Along the way, we debuted new songs from the Doug McMinn Blues Band, Private I, Peter Wolf, Jeffrey Gaines and Big Atlantic. We also updated “Local Music News” and reviewed Tarra Layne’s Introducing Tarra Layne CD in “The Professor’s CD Corner.”
