Trade my music gear for small camper

Post by P MAC »

Thought I would throw this out there.
I am looking to purchase or trade for a small tag along camper 12 to 18 foot range. Older units OK. ( Scotty, Shasta etc ) See other posts below for items I have for trade. I also have a few other guitars/basses, and some PA gear to consider.

I did a LOT of research on those, Pat, vintage campers have become a hobby. I'm known for introducing myself to total strangers at bluegrass festivals, and talking to them about their campers, I've seen many.
Watch for delaminating plywood, especially in the ceiling and floor, but anywhere near a seam or joint. That stuff can be repaired, but it's WAY harder than it looks at first glance. Pretty much everything else is fairly easy to fix, by comparison. (personal experience)
I've been holding out for a Scamp, Casita, Burro, Trillium or other fiberglass camper. They cost more, but they only weigh about 800-1100 lbs, you can easily tow them with a 4-cylinder car, and they don't rot.
The Scottys and similar mini's are also very cool, with a cozy atmosphere inside, and they all set up as quick as a tent, but are worlds better when it rains or gets cold.
Run any questions you have by me, I'm no expert, but I'm "enthusiastically knowledgeable."
