Re: guitarist
No, but I know where that is, I wonder who they are...lynch1 wrote:do you guys practice in the house beside Hometown Market in Hollidaysburg. I was going in there last Sunday and heard a band jamming in the basement.
Re: guitarist
We love that stuff so much, those bands are all so incredible! It just sucks cuz everyone our age likes top 40 mainstream shit...lynch1 wrote:that's the kind of stuff I love to play, but I'm 41.
You might have to bend a little and let a "senior citizen" play LOL.
But it's good to see dudes your age with such appreciation for music of that time and genre. Shame you weren't around when it was new LOL. How's the old saying go? "You had to be there to be there, man!"
I can remember in school an outcast handful of people wearing Ride The Lightning or Master Of Puppets shirts being laughed at and called names. Then the Black Album came out and all of a sudden the whole school was praising Metallica.
And the original handful of outcasts still stood in the corner...and whipped them all the finger. That was a fun corner LOL.

Man it always sounds like it was such an awesome time back then. I was definately born 30 years too late... And I'm one of the few kids in school who always gets shit for my long hair and old band shirts hahahaRFBuck wrote:You might have to bend a little and let a "senior citizen" play LOL.

I actually started listening to some Fates Warning not that long ago after looking for some prog metal bands online. I also starting listening to Testament after Exodus and them opened up for Megadeth on the Rust in Peace 20th Anniversary show in Greensburg last March. I have The New Order and I'm gonna get the Legacy and Practice What You Preach.lynch1 wrote:Amen Buck. Don't leave out Suicidal Tendencies or Overkill. I saw the video for "Hello From The Gutter" on a Headbanger's Ball once and I was like "yeahhhhh!"
Headbanger's Ball...that's showin' my age LOL. That's when MTV showed music videos LOL.
