It is not very often in my line of work that I, personally, gets the chance to meet a real celebrity and yesterday that once in a lifetime chance came true for me when I had to the chance to meet Tom "Bones" Malone. Tom was an original member of the Saturday Night Live Band before becoming its music director from 81-85.
But, I interviewed him for 30 minutes and then spent the next hour just talking about music and life...I unfortunately did not have a chance to go back to catch the performance he gave with the Mount Union HS Jazz Band.
Great stories from a very great man....
