After 5 and half years of using my good ol faithful Peavey bass head and have always had madison speaker cabs I got sick of lugging everything around. I just bought a used SWR workingmans 210c combo amp and WOW am i impressed. The head unit is the essentially the SWR workingman's 4004 head unit but it is mounted in the combo cabinet. I have owned it for a week now and I am very impressed with it.
Granted I had gotten it shipped to me and it was busted up(not really busted up, but broken)!! Apparently someone had dropped it during shipment and all the POTS on the head were fracture, which a very good man my the name of Dave Sarge had taken care of me and had me fixed up by last weekend so I could gig 2 shows with it.
This little unit packs a great punch!! Very tight and punchy! And so far i love it. It has a 1 unit rackspace built in it so I mounted a rack tuner in there.
There several reasons i went the route that i went:
1. I wanted something that i could carry in 1 piece and plug her in and away i go.
2. I wanted something newer (I don't like to buy brand new) that had a good reputation and I new that SWR has always had a good line of Bass gear.
So who else uses some SWR stuff?
