tried a Mesa Stiletto Duece Stage II head and thought it was pretty cool. not as much gain as a Recto, but brighter with more "bite". it is supposed to be Mesa's version of an EL34 Marshall type of amp but still sounds alot like a Mesa. it was bright like a Marshall; the presence knob is definitely use at you own risk- it can go to icepick in the ear pretty quick if you're not careful. i would pick one up myself if the price was right.
