There was basically a small mountain as the back yard where I lived until I was 14 and 1/2 way up a train used to run...I still remember seeing and hearing it. I say that because it stopped running when I was roughly 4. I'd heard about street cars running through towns, but the description of the "Alley Popper" train is something I'd never heard of before. I'm sure business is just slow right now...it's Winter...we've had more than a few weekend storms, but before you know it Spring will have sprung!

We had a wonderful band in our facility last night...Amplified Heet. These boys can put on a good show. In all honesty, I'd say they are one of the best that we have ever had in our place. Its hard to get the locals to come in and hear new bands. Not sure why it is that way. But we need to help raise some money to pay for the entertainers. Of all people that should understand this are other band members. Last night when one member of another group flew into the bar and right back out because he didn't want to pay $2, I was ticked. This band member has been tryiing to talk me into having his expensive 'quality' band come to our venue. In fact, I was to present the information to our owners this weekend. Guess what...not going there. He's just screwed it for his band.
You all have got to help support each other. We can provide the facility. Do the advertising and serve the beer with friendly bartenders.

In light of new information, provided to me by a longtime friend and trusted member of this community, I will simply say, I stand by my opinions about paying cover when making rounds, but in this specific situation, there is definitely another side of the story.
At this point, the owners have told me to hold off on bookings. But I will continue to take any information and will keep trying to plea with them on having bands. If you want, you may reach me at 814 360 8096. The best time to call though would be 5pm - 9pm.

Bars and bands have a symbiotic relationship, each needing the other in some way. We need to keep this in mind in this gray-toned world. Large bars like Aldo's, Pelli's, etc., might not mind if you skip out on the cover, if you are there strictly for business. However, it is our responsibility to help those small or fledgeling establishments that support live music. Especially if there aren't many people in the bar as was the case on this night. We can't play at a bar that isn't there.
