Depends on where you get 'em Bill. Mostly around $4.50 - $6 per pack.

Congrats, Shredder.

At $6.00 a pack, for me that would be...$63.00 a week, $252.00 a month, $3024.00 a year, and $30,240.00 over a ten year period. I smoked from age 13 to 47. How many basses I could have bought. Enough to make me cry. I urge everyone, find a way to quit. You're a slave. Believe me.

Congrats Whichhunt and Shredder ! I was a three pack a day smoker when I quit (about 25 years ago) and my lungs are as clean now as though I had never smoked. I urge everyone to quit because the lungs can rehabilitate and it's never too late to quit. Colton ? B. ?

I'm growing my first crop of tobacco this year.....we'll see how that goes. I started rolling cigs a few years ago, and last year the $9 tin of Drum I was getting went up to $24, prompting the purchase of seeds.

Monday marked 7 months I've gone without a cig. I smoked for about 25 years. No pills, patches or gum... 100% cold turkey. It was rough for a week or two, but it is all over now and I feel so much better.
... and then the wheel fell off.

Thanks and congrats to all you quitters. It does feel so good not to be a slave to the nicotine. :D

Seven months for me.

I read somewhere that the electronic smokeless cigarettes have the same ingredients as antifreeze.

I heard on XM a week or so ago, that the reason more people smoke cigarettes instead of better-smelling tobacco is because they treat cigarette tobacco with ammonia, turning certain compounds from acid, to base. The result is a much more efficient delivery of nicotine into the bloodstream, 20 times faster than cigars, but smokers are literally free-basing nicotine.

I never smoked, never wanted to but I was a beer drinker and I gave that up a few years ago and never looked back.

My wife never drank but was a smoker until January of this year when she had a heart attack. She hasn't smoked since but she still has the urge to start. I hope that she and all of you that have quit never go back to smoking. Good luck

I like ham, though. For the record, ZX smoked clove cigarettes, which do smell way better than regular cigs... they smell like cloves, which reminds me of baking ham.
But I read they're really bad for you, so I'm glad you quit.

I would imagine that most things inhaled (other than the obvious, of course) wouldn't be too healthy for us. However, I will inhale the ganja til it's legal for me to grow and consume by other means. I sure hope I see that in my lifetime, preferably sooner than later.

I used to smoke when I was a teenager(now 23 lol) but I guess everyone does it at that age, glad I quit, but I know so many people that I care about that smoke and I wish they would quit, but congrats to all of you who have quit, and good luck to those still fighting the craving. Jeff, I understand, some of those meds they put you on sucks cuz you can't drink. I on the other hand, havent gotten any meds for mine, just deal with it day by day. But best of luck to you. :)
