Rob,

You forgot the most important one:

INJURIES ARE A PART OF FOOTBALL!!!

If part of my stage show was getting gang tackled every 30 seconds then yes I WOULD DESERVE IT TOO!

We should start a thread on who will get hurt each week. but you can only pick one player per week. and the injury must be season ending to win points

my pick is mm mmmmmmmm mmmm?

RB Willis McGahee

BadDazeRob wrote:... and all I keep saying is feeling that "justice has been served" on a cheating football francise and being happy about the team's situation is not the same as wishing for someone to suffer an injury. It's actually pretty funny to me to read how you don't get that basic point.
DBR - I can actually agree with you on this. The only thing I'm not happy about is that the PATs now will use excuse after excuse relating to this injury about why their season falls apart... And when the Steelers beat them, it won't be as satisfying...

And for the record BDR - I never said you were one of the people who I thought had their priorities screwed up.

This post (and the general point I'm making) is directed to People who...
A) actually hope or wish an athelete they never met will get injured so that their sports team might be able to win
B) people who are happy about a severe injury, or actually cheer - when a sports athelete they don't like gets injured.

Why chear for the other team to get hurt? Cheer for your team to beat them when they have their best of the field. If you can't do that - then you must not have faith that your team can do it without this help (key players out for season)...

BDR, you're happy Brady is out... OK. That's fine. On some level, I am happy he's not starting for the PATs too. I'm not happy he's hurt, but I'm happy he's not playing.

I'm also not happy that every sports caster in the NFL is going to be spewing out BS about this injury for the rest of the season, giving the PATs a virtual free pass to lose every game with a reason... Any team that wins the superbowl this year is going to have to answer the question, "Do you think you could have beat the Pats if they had Brady?"...

You watch... That's what this entire season will come down to for the sportscasters - speculation on what might have been...

Not sure if you know this, but girls are almost always the cause of problems between guys.

However, I must point out - the only thing I am attacking is that your original post did seem to "cheer" the fact that Brady needed ACL repair... If you simply stated the PATs got what they deserved, or that the Steelers should have an easier path to the playoffs, I don't think I'd have even responded...

But your post seemed to cheer that Brady needs ACL repair...and that ALONE is what I found disgusting.

I now know you didn't mean it that way, so I apologize for the misunderstanding - but there's no way anyone can tell your true intentions from your original post.

THAT'S RIGHT!!! DON'T FORGET PETTY!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm jealous of an international sports star. To say that I wouldn't personally like to have the luxuries he and other famous people enjoy would be ridiculous, as it would be for anyone else. Your point is lost on me.

Jesus, isn't this horse fucking dead yet? Please stop beating it. We get it, you are in love with Tom Brady. You're making yourself look stupid. REALLY STUPID.

How can the horse be dead when you still don't get the basics I've been saying?

1. I hate Tom Brady and the Pats.
2. But even so, I don't think injuries should be celebrated.

That's all.

I wanted to point out that if/when the Steelers make it to the Super bowl this year I do not care who questions how they got there, or if it had anything to do with Brady’s injury. I will be eating wings, drinking beer and celebrating.

There are a few other teams they will have to beat to get there….
I'll try to be nicer if you'll try to be smarter!

If you stop post things that make me realize you missed a point, I'll stop responding.

You posted that you think I'm in love with Brady or something, and that's not the case. I've never defended "Brady" or the "Pats". I've always stated very simple opinions about the idea of celebrating injuries, which I think is disgusting.

Don't post untruths and this thread will die...

As was mentioned in another thread ...

Let it go.

We all understand clearly. You are the pinnacle of intelligence and the rest of us can merely bask in the glow of your greatness. No need to respond. We all realize our shortcomings compared to the Great Jake Williams.
