Website/Myspace......

MySpace is a flavor-of-the-week site and the amount of childish behavior and "glittery" comments on there shouldn't be your only online presence.
With that in mind, I realize if you don't know a lot about web design or hosting, it's not entirely easy getting a website put together and maintained.
It's sad to see local clubs around here don't have websites.
Some used to.. 4 Dees & 30 Something: I'm looking at you.
if you do some looking you find that 30 something dose have a web site so look before you post!
mind posting it? i can't easily find it (i'm assuming it's not something easy like 30something.com like it should be.)
and my assumption was based on the past name which was City Limits, which at one time had a website, but now doesn't.. but if they do actually have a .COM domain, then i stand corrected.

Another plus for Myspace: They don't have portal pages up front. I HATE going to a site, to find the first page takes forever to load because it has to load a song first, then the graphic comes up, and you find it's just a page saying: "click here to enter" and nothing more. On a Myspace site, you always know the navigation, too.
I don't go to music sites looking for kickass graphics and animations. I want to hear what the band sounds like (the first time I visit, after that I already know what they sound like), where they play and when, and an overview of what they play. Maybe a short bio. That's all I need. I hate Myspace glitters and Mafia apps, too, but if I killfiled my friends' teenage kids on my site, I'd have way less of that.
Like I said, I'm not against pro websites, and truly do see the need for one once you hit a certain level, but I'm not quite there yet.--->JMS
