That's my point. You named your direct competitor to pass a RUMOR, one that could be potentially harmful to the bar you named, especially if it's not true, which I doubt that it is.

Yes, and that's why bands post threads like this to give other bands a heads up. As I stated before, I wouldn't come on here and say something like, "I heard that Flight 19 flings poo on their crowds, but it's just a rumor, I'm not sure if it's true or not." People read what they want to read (I work in the newspaper biz, I deal with this every day) and I guarantee 75 percent of the people who read your post went away from it thinking, "That bar tries to cut bands' money. Screw them."

I've booked bands here based on what I read and the discussions that go on here. Its a good place. But if I as a member of this area can not post without being slammed, I will move along because frankly, I don't need to be slammed. Criticism I can handle if its something that I can learn from.

From your responses to the criticism on this thread, I doubt that you handle criticism very well at all. I pointed out that you may want to back off on spreading rumors about people in your industry ("right down the road" from you, as you've described it) and you try to validate it by saying, "I said it wasn't confirmed." News flash: No rumors are confirmed. If they were confirmed, they would be called "FACTS." There's a huge difference between the two.

You tell me where anything that I posted was against the businesses themselves.

Actually, I heard rumors that the same type of situation "may have" or may not have happened at Bar 53 on Saturday night...heard the band showed up and around 8:00 the management told the band that since no one was there, they were only going to pay a certain amount so the band packed up and left......but that is strickly rumor at this time....I've not seen any confirmation of it.

Fortunately for me and the few other bar owners here, there are some here that have a very good business mind that we can feed off of for advice and information

That's all I'm trying to do — offer advice — and as always with anyone on this board, you can consider what I have to say about any given topic or not. Makes no difference to me, honestly.
