The musician turnouts have been great the last 4. If anyone thats been there and didnt play in the last couple jams, hit me up and ill make sure you get onstage. Sometimes its tough to get everyone in when there are so many. So speak up!

There will be a signup sheet for jams and nametags.

Anyone wanna name some tunes to get the jams started?

Since Rob posted that, I'm not bringing any cymbals, and I'm bringing a pair of hammers to use as drumsticks, just for that new cymbal, Rob. Just to get under your skin.

Awesome show!

It was great to finally put faces to all the names!

I wanna put out a big thank you to everyone for making me feel like part of the family, the jam at the end of the night was excellent! :)

Hopefully next time I'll be able to drag the Mrs. out with me, and maybe then I won't be so quiet. ;)

Rock on! \m/

What a great evening! Always good to see my musician buddies. Many thanks to Bobby Watters, whose hard work is very much appreciated. Man, there was some great music out of the bands, too... Carl Lee was awesome, despite some equipment problems, One Gun Salute was pissed off and articulate, and how can you beat the Flame Sky playing old school Maiden? Thanks all, for a great time yet again.
Oh yeah, thanks to BadDazeRob, for throwing me the meat. What a man! (Okay, back off, you homophobes. He gave me some venison...Thanks Rob!)------------------>JMS

Again, the Rockpage Jam was an excellent time. The crowd wasn't as huge as the past two years, but within the crowd, at least 26 Rockpagers were in the house, always a cool thing! $120 was raised for the Erin McConnell Fund; I plan on dropping off the money at M&T Bank (who is handling the fund) today on my way to work.

All three bands smoked! The Vengeance Of Carl Lee, despite a few technical snafus, did very well in only their second show. Hardcore-flavored metal originals with a Maiden-ish flare, cool stuff! I was a little apprehensive watching frontman Justin maneuver on that small area in front of the stage, at the rate he was going I thought he might mis-step and stumble off (he did once, no harm done). I liked what I witnessed, hope to catch this group again soon.

One Gun Salute RAWKED! Raging, roaring, multiple-slaps-upside-the-head METAL, with Dave Moses' full-out intensity and Scott Bush's surgical precision on the frets. The new rhythm battery of RobtheDrummer and SpellboundByMetal was tight and pounding.

The Flame Sky again demonstrated their knack for unorthodox tunes that stick in your head, delivered with focus and intensity. Hurricane Bob joining the group behind the second drum kit on Maiden's "Phantom Of The Opera" was a definite highlight, and I'm now itching to get a CD copy of "The Creature" to play on the "Backyard Rocker." Great as always!

Although it took a little while for the jam sessions to come together, they were ultimately fun, from the RobtheDrummer/Hurricane drum duels to members of Hexhed, Beyond Reason, Bad Daze, Scream, Half Tempted, .00 Buck, Wood-n-Strings, Flame Sky, Staceman and more pooling their talents together on a variety of tunes.

Big John and Jody also got on stage to thank all the patrons and musicians for the years of fun and memories at Peter C's. John assured us that this indeed was the final night at Peter C's; again sad to see the end of an era, but thanks again for all the memories!

Again, a good time was had; I'm looking forward to the next one. (Rockpage Summer Jam this year? hint, hint)

Look for a recap of this latest Rockpage Jam (with multiple photos) on JP's Corner in the near future.

What a great night! I had to work late, so I missed the performance of Carl Lee, but I heard nothing but good things about them! Mad props to One Gun Salute for some serious KICKASS ORIGINAL METAL, and it's ALWAYS a treat to hear Flame Sky jamming!! The jams were fun, loved Robthedrummer and Hurricane going at it, almost as good as a Photoshop war! I just wish more folks had come out, but we had a good time, gave Peter C's a GREAT sendoff, and raised money for a great cause. Way to go, Rockpagers!

And yes, I played on "Roadhouse Blues". I'm still suffering the aftereffects, but seeing YankeeRose's face light up when we hit it was worth the agony.

Thr money has officially been donated. I purchased a get well card for Erin, and signed it "The Area Musicians/Rockpage," and included the website address. I also indicated that the money was raised at last night's concert/jam at Peter C's. I took the money in to M&T, and they did up a check and placed it inside the card.

Indeed, I was physically present and a good time was had by all who attended, for however long they were able to attend. RockPage people are very much a family. Plus, it was for the benefit of someone who IMHO deserved a lot more. I was sorry to have just missed The Vengeance of Carl Lee, but as Toona said, I also heard first hand reports that they were excellent! I look forward to hearing them somewhere, here or there, soon! With One Gun Salute, I couldn't stay in my seat and what a great way to release some - I'll call it "sheer frustration"! (I highly recommend them to someone who shall remain NamelesS. :D) The Flame Sky was awesome as always and some of their excellent Instrumentals had the audience just about trippin'!

Staceman, as you said, it was neat to finally put a face to your name. Too quiet? Oh pishaw, you didn't know hardly a Soul there at first...and then you got onstage and Jammed away - hardly "quiet"! :)

"The Jam" was one I'll never forget...first "dueling drums" and some of the last tunes I heard at Peter C's were: Ozzy/Sabbath, Zeppelin and even a Brian Cupples' original. Joe  and Kevin , when I heard "Road House Blues" begin, I'd been happily dancing... :D but then I had even more of "a re-al goood time"! Ronny, RobTD, Steve, Paul, BDRob and Kevin...whose ever idea it was, and to all who performed it...THANK YOU! :) I'll never forget it! You guys ROCKED and it was the perfect way for me to say "see ya" to a place where I hold such great memories of "real good times"...for many of you, so many more and so much more. For the very last tune, with Dwane, Stace, Brian and Bobby, I felt someone had to be on that dance floor 1 last time. It couldn't end with nobody on it...no way! (Sorry if I left out any Musicians or got them mixed up, but this is all from currently very emotional female memory.) I say it again, BigJohn and Jody - "THANK YOU" - for having a place I always felt safe and had such a great time in. Now it can finally be said:
"We miss you, Peter C's."

Well, its official. Just like every Friday afternoon for the last 7 years i would stroll lazily into Peter C's to pack up my drums. But today as i entered i noticed a construction crew had been there early and the bathrooms were gone and walls were bare. The only thing that saved the stage today were my drums were still on it. Thanks for the great years Big John and Jody!

Again thanks to The Vengeance of Carl Lee, One Gun Salute and The Flame Sky. Class acts, check them out when there around. And to all the support from the RP community, you know who you are.

I am so glad I got the chance to sing on that stage one more time ... even if I did make up most of the words.

So long, Peter C's ... The fond memories can't be removed by a construction crew ...

Wow...

For years, even before I started getting on Rockpage, I had heard of the legendary Peter C's, this small bar in Altoona that got all the kick ass bands.

And wouldn't you know, that when I finally get to check it out after years of hearing about it, it starts getting torn down the very next day after my first, and last time there.

Despite my little experience there, I can honestly say that it's quite an honor to be able to say, that I was involved in the very last jam there ever... (and the last bass player to ever grace the stage!)

Thanks for the experience, and the lasting memory! :)

So now it really is over. If you listen closely as you drive by, you can still hear the Hurricanes on Thursday nights.

I can say I was at all of the last 7 "last shows" ha ha.

Having the last nite as the RP jam and have 3 bands play mostly original music was very appropriate.

*LOL* I'm the guilty one. I looked over to Ronny and said, "How about Roadhouse Blues?" Sorry for putting you through that, Kevin.

THANKS, Paul! LMAO Kevin, the Dickens, at first took credit for the idea...Ronny did, next! Hahahahahaha! Which ever one of you it was, THANK YOU and again, thank you ALL for "suffering" through it! :D

Joe, you exaggerate. (...but it IS funny! :D) I think we were both at all 3 "Official" Last Shows. :) I wondered after the last one if it was really the last one and I'm glad we got to say good-bye in style...except for the total for Erin, it seems fitting in a way that it was mainly all Musicians there on the last night.
Several even shared their special memories of Peter C's...they're something else I'll never forget. Thank you, all.
(p.s. When I say "Musicians", I'm not omitting Vocalists. Their Voice is their Instrument.)
