Gee...I don't know, but I'd consider the above a totally unwarranted, uncalled for personal attack of some kind...but I don't mind...
See, no surrender, you have over 300 Posts yourself and if you aren't banned, one day you'll have over 600 + Posts "and counting", too. Back to the game, which, by the way, you're supposed to be at Family Pizza watching.

Where in the name of Christ is the offensive line this year???? Every top D they have played they can't run the ball. Now all the false starts...

What in the hell is Cowher thinking with an onside kick with a whole half to go and down only 9 points??? Is he insane? At best you get the ball on your 45 yard line. BFD. Most FAIL however, and now you have a MONSTER team with the ball on YOUR 45 yard line! Geesus christ how stupid can you be?? Instead of behind only a touchdown and a field goal your now down TWO TOUCHDOWNS and a field goal! Your usual game play is shot to hell now and it's hail mary time! That single onside kick LOST THE GAME! Geesus kee-rice-st!!

Freaking gimmicks and 4th down desperation plays! They couldn't just play their freaking game! Steelers deserve to lose.

No offensive line and the onside kick is what did it for them tonight. I can not believe all the bad calls that are being made. It is unreal .. From the looks of it, the colts might end up in the superbowl this year...

On a positive note, it's pretty cool to watch Manning do his song & dance before snap each play :D

Yea, that was dumb, going for an onside kick at the beginning of the third quarter. They would have had an awesome chance if they would have just kicked it away, then kept Manning back for a while, they could have made up a ton of lost points and not given Indianapolis the ball so damn close. Stupid calls all around tonite, and i give this game the "Dee De Deee" of the season. Honestly, i was screaming at my radio on the way home from work.

I missed most of the game because I fell asleep. So, I guess everyone was right about the Colts. Its all good though, we'll get em in the playoffs. Ben's first game in 4 weeks, bad calls (which would have been good calls if they worked). Hey, we held Peyton to 2 TDs, one was a stupid fly-by that we didn't expect on the first play. I really not gonna worry, we better win next week though, we havent gone 0-3 for a long long time. We can beat the Bungles again....hopefully. The O-line needs to get thier shit together first. You know what I love about football? Either win or lose, it's still just football.

I tuned into the game just as the third quarter was getting started. That attempted onside kick said to me "desperation," as in the Steelers had to try the bag of trickery because their game plan wasn't working. From the point that onside kick failed, I knew that game was over.

Let's face facts...Indy dominated that game in every aspect. If the Steelers would get a positive offensive play, Indy defenders were there to make sure no additional yardage was gained after the pass receptions were completed. How many times did Indy's D stop the Steelers just short of first down yardage? And those damned false start penalties killed us when we would get any positive yardage going.

It can be argued that Ben was a bit rusty after the layoff, and that may be true, but Indianapolis just dominated. They looked like...last year's Steelers!

The good things to come out of this loss...Pittsburgh now knows for sure that it has work ahead of it if the Black and Gold are ever to make it to the coveted Big Dance that is the Super Bowl. They need to study tape over and over again of this game, while not overlooking any of the remaining games on their schedule or possible playoff opponents - starting with the Bengals this weekend - because ultimately, I think the road to the Super Bowl runs through Indianapolis, and the Steelers are going to have to solve the Colts if they hope to be in Detroit in early February.

Based on how crisp the Colts looked this night, I think they are a serious threat to run the table the rest of the way. Unless they let their guard down, the biggest hurdles they face for an undefeated regular season are San Diego at Indy, and Seattle on the road. The Colts look to have it all together, plus they have a chip on their shoulder from not getting it done the past few seasons against New England when it mattered. This might be their year.

I don't want to sound like a downer on the Steelers, but this game said to me that Cowher and the Steelers have a lot of work ahead of them if they hope to get to the big dance in February. They have to figure out how to beat Indy, and do it in their own crib.

I agree Jim. The Colts looked very hungry out there! The Steelers as I see it are no way a Super Bowl contender as of right now. If they do get thier shit together they might be eventually. Indy's D is great this year and their O, well what else can you say. Hats off to the Colts. But, I still wanna see the Steelers Kick some ass the second time around!

I agree. At the onset it looked like the Colts where twice as fast as the Steelers. Once the initial wave calmed (they couldn't keep that up for the whole game) they still where handing it to the Steelers. They couldn't run the ball, and Cowher made some HUGE mistakes in this game. I think if they meet again, Pittsburgh can beat them. But in the playoffs, I don't see Pittsburgh going any further than a second round loss at Denver (after a wild card win over Cincy/Jacksonville) realistically so they most likely won't see them again. I used to be one of those idiots who swore that they would win it all no matter what but, now I have to realistic. Too many injuries, too many mistakes, this year is not their year. I could be wrong, and hope that I am but, that's how I see it. :(

I'll still go down with them in my Steelers gear waving a terrible towel and screaming at the top of my lungs though.

I love the Steelers, but it was clearly evident they were not prepared for
this game. In the first quarter it looked as though it would be an utter
blowout. I'm surprised they only lost 26-7. The offensive line was exactly
that, "offensive"! Playing catch up ball has never been Pittsburghs fortee'.
I hope they take the loss as a wake up call and get their act together.
Pittsburgh (as a team) has way too much talent to allow the type of play
to occur that has been shown the past two weeks. I'm keeping my fingers
crossed that they improve. GO STEELERS!

I agree with Punkinhead on the fact that Indy looked like they were much too fast for the Steelers. If you look at last weeks game the Steelers seemed slow there too. The defense is not looking as good as they did last year. The Professor nailed it by saying Indy's D looked like the Steelers D last year.
I don't think the Steelers look anywhere close to the way they did earlier this season. Granted there are injuries but we had the same problems last year and the 2nd string stepped up and played like first stringers.
Also I'm worried about the game against the Bears #1 defense.
They lead the league in sacks and never blitz. 4 down linemen leading the league... From what I see the Steelers better get that offense going or their season will be over much earlier than expected.

"Game plan wasn't working"? "Much too fast for the Steelers"?? PFFFFT! Steelers were down only 9 points and had the entire 2nd half left. And that's only because the Steelers missed the field goal! Their game plan was doing just fine with plenty of time left to regain the momo. JUST PLAY YOUR GAME STEELERS! STOP THE GIMMICKS!

Agree 100%. Gimmicks are cool in the right situation, but not as a means to catch up. The "surprise onsides" in Super Bowl XXX was only a good call because we got the ball.

Bottom line: There's no "jelling" going on quite yet. It's unfortunate Ben's first game back was vs. the Colts in their very loud house. The line was anxious, as evidenced by all the false start calls, but the defense played a great game, I thought. I don't think Indy has punted that much in any game this year (don't know for sure), so the D was keeping it close. THere was just no cohesion on O. It'll come, I only hope it comes before playoff time.

I still feel fairly certain the Steelers can hang with and beat anyone in this league. We have a healthy and probably the most dangerous backfield in the NFL right now and then there's #86 (nuff said). We need some confidence builders to get Ben back up to game speed.

Indy's bad as hell. No question about it. I knew last night would be the gauge of where we are and it was. Our D stacked up well. Offense needs to step it up.

Hey, homefield advantage has helped us ZERO in recent years during the playoffs. I kinda hope we have to crawl through, on the road, to get to where we're heading.

Steelers arent used to an extreme passing team like the colts. Colts have one weapon that the steelers have a hard time against....Payton Manning, hes a passing machine, and not to mention his wide recievers, who have sticky hands and faster feet. I'm suprised that Edgerin James had as many rushing yards as he did. The offensive line was getting pounded by him in the beginning, but they stuffed him pretty well towards the very end. The steelers need to re-organize their secondary the next time they go up against a passing team like the Colts.

I'm with Punkinhead on my support of the Steelers. :) Also with being realistic...other than Troy's sweet Interception and then the Ben/Ward Touchdown, which seemed to light a bit of a fire underneath them at that point, they just couldn't "bring it". The Colts have a very good team, although Manning - sheesh - he's a tad insufferable with his antics.
I lmao at some of the slapping matches that were going on too, there was no love lost! Without the bad Onside call and all of the False Start Penalties, the Steelers could possibly have added another TD, but the Colts would still have won. "Down ONLY 9 points" at the Half? When you're playing an undefeated team, a very GOOD team like the Colts, one should see the writing on the wall. As skippisode also said, I'm surprised the score wasn't worse...Ben threw some crappy passes and it was just as noisy for Manning...Ben is young and it kills me to say this, but until the Steelers can play their best and give their all for every game - and I don't know if I've even seen a game this year when that was the case...we will keep saying "maybe next year". Still,
GO GO GO GO GOOOOOO STEELERS!

If there's any "writing on the wall" it's your phone number on the bathroom stall in boy's room.

Starting 2nd half down 9 points is doable. Against any team. Would have been 6 too if not for the missed field goal. Game was damn close into the half time and Stelelers still in ballgame all the way... till that asnine onside kick.

Give it a break, don't reply to this because I have nothing more to say to you. Go bother someoneelse for a change of pace.

The thought DID actually cross my mind that YOU and you alone might take the cheap, sleazy shot with "the writing on the wall", as that's my impression of you, cheap and sleazy. The only thing "doable" is you and you are nothing but a liar...you were supposed to be "watching the game at Family Pizza". To keep saying "IF" they hadn't missed the field goal, "IF" this and "IF" that is plain stupid. The Steelers lost because nearly ALL of them played like CRAP, a few bad decisions by Cowher, or not. You live only in a fantasy world to think I would ever acquiesce to you. You are the one nobody knows who almost everyone wants gone and you know what you can go do.
