Favorite nfl team
i root for oakland because of their philosophy about players and the way the game is played. they revel in their rogue image and embrace the "bad" guys no one wants. i never really cared about location, because if that was the case, the players would have to be from that area as well. jerome bettis doesn't live in pittsburgh and wasn't born here; he lives in detroit when he's not playing. hines ward lives in his hometown atlanta in the offseason. i understand that they represent the city and it's fans, but it is in a figurative way, not a concrete one. in the era of free agency and player movement, the only constant is what teams stand for. commitment to excellence. just win, baby!!!

I have always been a Denver Broncos fan since I can remember. Probably right around the beginning of the Elway era, because I remember suffering through all the crappy Superbowls before we had our glory years in the late 90's.
However, because of geographical location I also root for the Steelers. I go to Steelers games and because Broncos games aren't typically on TV here I also watch the Steelers every week I can. The worst part of this was about 7-8 years ago, Denver had an AFC playoff game in Pittsburgh which always causes an internal conflict for me.
I have actually gotten to see the Broncos play (last year @ Baltimore) and I would have gone to a game at Invesco Field @ Mile High this season but another financial obligation came up (new baby) and I had to cancel my plans.
I am also a huge fan of the game (NFL) in general. I don't care if it's the worst matchup of the week, I will watch it. I have a lifelong goal of seeing a game in every NFL city. So far, I have only been to Pittsburgh and Baltimore but it's still going to be a fun goal to reach.

Like Jason, I like the raiders cuz what we stand for. The whole "dont fuck with us, we'll fuck you up" attitude, the whole togetherness in the blood and mayhem of destroying the weak, powerless - all that good shit, plus the Raiders are one of the truest sports franchises to continue its legacy and tradition throughout the years. dirty play - making presence felt in a phyiscal sense, badass "rogue" attitude, the fans love it, the players love it - thats why when Oakland has a good team, the Black hole is the best sports surrounding in ALL of sports.. hands down
