Now this is going to be a close one. I like both Soundgarden and Alice In Chains. But if I was going to say one of them, I would say Jerry Cantrell.undercoverjoe wrote:Poll: The Greatest Guitarist of All Time, Round 1 — Kim Thayil Vs. Jerry Cantrell

Steve Vai easily won yesterday.
Edit: After I voted, I see that Cantrell is winning by a mile.

Tough one. Both are pioneers and great performers. I like Mountain, but think Sabbath is more popular. So I am going with Iomi.undercoverjoe wrote:Poll: The Greatest Guitarist of All Time, Round 1 — Tony Iommi Vs. Leslie West

oops, I missed yesterdays, but I still have to say something. I really don't like Neil Young, I think he sounds like a drunken squirrel singing karaoke, but I will admit he's a pretty good guitar player and good enough song writer to stand with Crosby, Stills, and Nash all of whom I respect greatly. I absolutely love the beatles, always have but honestly, I think Harrison is about average for the music they were doing. Not amazing, but got the job done.
As far as todays, Dimebag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No contest?
wait, I just realized I'm a whole day off here...crap, sorry
