If there is an elite segment of anything, and there is an obvious glaring omission, the fans of the omitted should do whatever they can to make sure that the omitted is included, thereby righting the wrong on some level.

Does Rush need to be in the HOF? No.
Should they be? Absolutely. And as smarmy as the HOF has turned out to be, that is still the injustice.
I guess I'm just more laidback about it than you, Kevin. The HOF, along with the Grammies, is a good ol' boy club, and I've always recognized it as a good ol' boy club. I've never thought of any entertainment awards institution as being anything more than a bunch of self-important people voting on their tastes (and in the case of many awards institutions, record sales) and the music industry taking a night to pat itself on its ass in hammy self-adulation. So for me, when someone gets snubbed, I really don't worry about it too much, since the awarding institution really never had credibility to begin with.

Not saying I'm elite because I disagree with you. You're still my bro, Kevin.

This is exactly why I avoid watching the Grammy's, and Oscars, and Golden Globes, and Emmy's, and whatever other crap entertainment awards malarkey gets aired.

Sue, you get 10 points for using malarkey in a post. That word doesn't get used enough. 8)

No, Frank, they didn't. The Hall is totally that pathetic. Jann Werner (Rolling Stone magazine) is one of the Hall's head honchos, so he's probably sitting somewhere masturbating over the fact that he will vote Radiohead in first ballot as soon as they become eligible. Fuck Rolling Stone, and fuck the RNRHOF. Long Live Rush!!
The thing with rolling is that they know about as much about music as I know about rocket science, which is NONE. Screw rolling stone and their pathetic magazine.

I also agree about the grammy's. It is all based one what the suits like, not what the people like.
Music Rocks!
