It's the nature of being human. Not everyone is gonna like you, not everyone is gonna hate you. Do what you love, love what you do. As far as being a musician goes, I've played all kinds of styles. I like some better than others, but all styles have something to offer. Does that mean a certain style is better? No, but it does mean that we are human and have different tastes and experiences. If we all liked the same music and played the same, we wouldn't be human any longer. What fun would that be? There's enough room for us all!

I totally agree with this.
