Trace, I think Joe Biden COULD easily have stood up to Katie Couric. He's got 30 years in the Congress, he's done a few tough interviews. Sarah... not so much. She's done a grand total of maybe 5 interviews on a national forum, and that includes her short time as governor. If she had the aplomb of Obama, they'd have her on every talkshow from Good Morning America to Letterman, but she'd be bound to step on her, um, shoelace.
The conservative media is in hyper-extra-turbo-overdive right now. The bailout thing gets updated every half-hour, and none of it looks anywhere near good for the Bushies. The McCain campaign suspension had no teeth, and the reason everybody's calling it a Hail Mary, is because that's what it is: He was starting to drop fast in the polls, and saw an opening, but it didn't work. Palin is ALL he has, and all the Republicans have. The overselling of Palin is backfiring big-time.
The public needs to know about the witch-hunter thing. I grew up in a Charismatic Evangelical church, they all talk just like Sarah Palin in her July '08 speech at church, and that's flat-out dangerous. Rev. Muthy is a fake, a charlatan, and a liar, like all of his type, and is nothing more than a con-man who uses the faith of the easily-persuaded to get what he wants. I said the same thing about Jimmy Swaggart, before his prostitute habit became public, about Jim Bakker, before his money-laundering and secretary-nailing, and about Ted Haggard, the meth-freak/male-prostitute-John who insisted that we all be more family-oriented. If that's her pastor, it speaks volumes about her as a Christian, and as a leader.
I feel like I can see right through the woman in the short time she's been around. I don't like that she strongly supported abstinence-only sex-ed (that worked out well, right

), I don't like that she's cozy with Big Oil, I don't like that power-abuse investigation her flunkies are side-stepping (I have to appear when subpoena'ed, why not her or her team?), and I really don't like that 2 yrs ago she was a mayor of a town the size of Martinsburg, and now she's the All-Being Mistress of Time, Space, and Dimension. Does not compute.

I don't think Palin did a great job, never said that. But in that situation I think no one would. I don't think that anyone right now running will do well up against Putin. Maybe you should use some of that 172 IQ to try and read up a little bit about the history of this planet. Dinosuars definitely weren't here 4000 years ago... They were killed off about 65 million years ago...

Except the media is pounding on this Palin - "witch hunter" crap and the fact that she's relatively inexperienced - just like they hounded Obama for his ties to Rev. Wright.
