Haven't heard from Kevin, he usually prefers a week night.

Kevin, if you want to pick a date , we can see how many can make it on a week night.

Otherwise :

A Sunday afternoon in July ? July 13th ? 20th ? 27th ? Pick one.

My work schedule precludes me from coming on a weekend. Don't worry, I'll figure out a way to get to one of these things sometime soon.

It doesn't have to be a weekend, weeknights work for me as well....whatever! I would just hate to see someone miss out on this one because there is a TON of info that really helps make the tuning process much easier and alot less frustrating, and helps to get your drums to sound great consistently. Anyway.....que sera, sera.....

13th works for me too.

Randydrummer and I were talking last night at the RP Jam. We can have it at Fords, but the acoustics kind of suck in that room. Clint, the room is like an echo chamber. If you can do it there - cool. Or if you want to meet me there to see it for yourself - let me know.

Does anyone know of someplace else for the tuning clinic. Clint, do you think Dave Vallani would be up for using his studio ? Or - does anyone know anything about the recital room at the "Church in the middle of the block" ?

Anyhow. July 13th it is. Site to be determined.
THIS should be a great one ! Talk it up, tell your drummer friends.
EVERYONE bring a tom.

Clint, perhaps if we did it at Dave's Studio, we could have Dave do a "clinic video" for you. Dave told me you were thinking of putting something like that together. DVD with questions from the drummers could work out well.

Hmmmm...well, I can ask Dave if it would be cool to do it there. I'll get back to you on that one. The room at Ford's would be fine if not. Let me contact Dave and I'll post a reply up here as soon as I know anything.

If you're not comfortable asking Dave, let's just go with Fords. It was just a thought.

No no no...that's fine. In fact, that would be much better there. I can use his drums and tune all the toms in intervals to demonstrate the effects of it. I already emailed him so hopefully he'll be open to it and have the studio unbooked for that time period. Great idea Hawk!

I talked to Dave today and he said the get together may be a possibility at the studio he's just going to check with the mrs. to make sure he's freed up that afternoon. I should know for sure within the next day or two.
