how can you say it's the party's problem and not the people? the people are the ones who come out and vote... and clearly, as every election shows... the people really don't give a fuck about the prospects of eliminating party politics.

all I'm saying is... you can show me a candidate who says "I want to eliminate the 2 party system" all you want... you can show me 400,000 of them, but I guarantee you at the end of the day... no matter who comes out on their behalf, they will still FAIL because the people, fear change. Like it or not, we're a 2 party people... we always will be.

I think the two party system is a good thing. I would rather have gridlock than one group pushing everything.

I agree. I would rather have petty bitching, and pissing and moaning, than absolute rule. The great thing about America and our system of government, is that no matter what... there's always somebody bitching and fighting -- we may think that's not the case, but I haven't exactly noticed anything suggesting dictatorship around here.

Oops, Jeez, I hope you guys don't think I support a ONE party system... that's totalitarian, and we're too close to that now!
I mean that there should be at least one more choice. As it stands, with only two major parties, you either get this or that, either red or blue... this is why I always wind up voting for the lesser of two evils. There are other colors out there, but the two current parties make sure that if you're not red or blue, you can't play in their game. I say screw that. Let me have a real choice, not a choice between the two a-holes they pick out for me.----->JMS
