Did i say that? Quit putting bullshit lines in my mouth.
Opinions are easy to receive unfiltered, but "facts" are colored by the factgiver's opinions.
I'm posting facts. If you want to think that im covering facts with my own opinions then fine.

This is exactly what i was trying to say, I can sit back and tell you all that the sky is falling and half of you would sit there and pick it the fuck apart until it finally hits you.
May I take the liberty of translating?

No...you may not. You're not getting a damn word im saying.
May I take the liberty of translating? I think you're saying, "Obviously, you're wrong, as I have given this more thought than you, and have a better handle on it. My opinion has value, yours does not." Did I get that one right? If so, that's not debate. That's conservative talk radio
I have a huge problem with people trying to tell me what i am songsmith. So im going to call you an asshole on that count. Dont fucking tell me who i am or who i sound like. I could give a flying fuck what you think on that count.

This started out as a thread abiout FEMA. Unfortunately some of the people on this board are interested in just bashing bush. pushing their own opinions or just picking everything apart. I'm done posting on this subject.

Very nice. I rechecked your original post, and the only "fact" I could ascertain was that you saw a documentary, and that is pretty much uncorroberated. The rest is opinion.
Oops. I did find out from a subsequent posting that you are 17. Ineligible to vote, but that's okay. Bush has been president since you were a kiddy, so you don't likely remember anything else. You've never paid a tax, bought a home, served in the military, paid a tuition bill, had a kid, got a divorce, oh hell, just stop me when I get to the part where your opinions are qualified.
You're at that age where you're full of piss and vinegar, and you've flexed your wings and they carried you so far, but you're in over your head here. I have the benefit of being 17 (twice, plus some), but, you've never been 43. As for giving a f*ck what I think... hey, you jumped in, Junior. Politics is grownup fun. You want to piss with the big dogs, you need to be out of the whelping box.
And I bet you're not done posting on the subject. ------>JMS

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove are the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.
Brilliant, Songsmith!
8) Another sign? UCJoe mentioning IMPEACH and Bush in the same sentence in another thread! I didn't think we'd see that day.

The current director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency was appointed by none other than G.W. Bush. He also appointed the vastly un-qualified former FEMA director who so blatantly screwed things up before and after Katrina. In my estimation, if one has a problem with things FEMA has done, you should take it all the way to the top. The Department of Defense is yet another government entity, and in no way should they be confused with our brave Men and Women serving in the Military. Those officers running the DoD were put there by, you guessed it, that's who they answer to. :) Whether it's fake press conferences or faulty intelligence and on and on, many American people just sit back and accept whatever the government tells them about their latest f up, like good little sheep. I don't ever recall an ENTIRE administration in such chaos, turmoil and disarray, or it's employees jumping ship or being replaced every time you turn around.

Also, I could be wrong, but just from the little coverage I've seen, it seems the state of CA has been instrumental in keeping the situation there under control, not FEMA. Maybe the report was incorrect, but Arnold indeed called out CA's National Guard. Possibly he did so for them to only help fight the fires.

YR, I have been calling for W's impeachment for quite a while now. Mostly because he acts like a Democrat. The Republicans are just about indistinquishable from Dems anymore, except for Ron Paul.

Your statement about Bush's admistration being in chaos and dissaray; its almost as bad as when Clinton had to havel two of his killed, Ron Brown and Vince Foster.

I still can't believe we reelected that shithead. Course, I'm entirely cynical about the government in general, and I don't think Kerry would've been much better. Still, as we see our homes, our towns, our country, and even "our government" fall further into a sea of trash, I'm starting to wonder about what would've happened if we'd have elected Kerry. Not like it matters today

It's as YankeeRose said, there has NEVER been an administration juggling our hopes and dreams and tossing them aside like bad oranges, EVER. I think George Washington is rolling around in his grave these days. Does anyone wanna go get a shovel and find out for me? Cos really... Didn't he, and many others, fight the British troops way back when over these EXACT SAME THINGS??? I mean c'mon... I think we can take cameras to our "friends'" in the gov'ts' houses minutes after a public apology, and odds are, they're laughing, drinking, throwing parties, and have more alcohol and of better quality than most of us could afford by the gallon in quantities that some of us wouldn't be able to drink in 5 years!

The whole idea that FEMA is "trying so hard" to help the people suffering in California is a joke the US people have to shake their heads at. I haven't been keeping up on this as well as some. If what YankeeRose said is true though, I'll give my commendations to Arnold for trying, and the National Guard for doing. They're earning their keep. FEMA? Let's just go to the building that they use as a headquarters and house their operations, burn it to the ground, and toast some marshmallows. That would be a better purpose served

UCJoe, you called him a good Democrat before...not in my estimation, but that was the first time I recollect you calling for his impeachment. As far as Clinton's two administrations, I don't recall many resignations, if any. George Stephanopoprettyboy left to begin a new career, and unless my memory is failing me completely, the 2 cabinets he appointed stuck by him, they didn't desert him as if they were rats and he was a sinking ship, one after another and then some, through TWO terms! How people could vote for Bush a second time after his close employees quit on him again and again remains a mystery...of course, many don't think for themselves. Clinton had those TWO killed, REALLY? How many in his administration were under investigation and did he grant IMMUNITY to, or commute their sentences, for various and sundry REAL crimes while he was in office? There's no comparison. Ha, talk about conspiracy theories!

Naga, hopefully there will be an accurate accounting of votes cast in the next presidental election. So it took a little longer to count votes with paper ballots...for crying out loud, the next president won't be in office until January!

Yikes! You say you want a Revolution against FEMA, a federal agency??? Careful where you tread...as the old saying goes, we ain't in Kansas any longer. Before you can say Habaeus Corpus, you'll be hauled away.

Cluelessness is rampant. Who is the greater fool? The fool or the one who follows him?

Let me help you to pick up your dead...as the sins of our fathers are fed

With the blood of the fools and the thoughts of the wise and from the pan under your bed....

Let me make you a present of song ... as the wise man breaks wind and is gone...while the fool with the hourglass is cooking his goose and the nursery rhyme winds along....
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...

You're right, that was overkill on cynicism. But still... It's quite upsetting when people are paid as a federal agency (and mind you, governmental employees are paid a good buck) to go out and do something to help people that are really in dire times. Watching them sit around during one major disaster, then make a public mockery of themselves during another... "Disgraceful" is a total understatement. Where is this country going?

Hmmm... very astute, as usual, lonewolf. It's rather cryptic, but I like what it means to me... "thoughts of the wise and from the pan under your bed..." I like that alot. My grandmother kept a pot under the bed, and "the thoughts of the wise" are worth what she had in that pot. I'm not positive that's what you meant, but if it was, that's good, dude.----->JMS

Here's yet another bit of song,
I don't think it's too long...

I've come down from the upper class to mend your rotten ways. My father was a man-of-power whom everyone obeyed.
