Favorite is hard to nail down to 1, but it will have to be Dickey Betts.

Others would be Carlos Santana, Duane Allman, Roy Buchanan, Jimi Hendrix, Toy Caldwell, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton.

Should have included Janick Gers. He actually plays quite a bit of the leads.

Just got done listening (at max volume) to Over and Over from Black Sabbath's MOB RULES. Iommi has got some shit goin'. Awesome lead. I watched a CD last week called "The history of Metal" or something. They interviewed Dio and he said Iommi was a riffing machine. Never at a lack for something interesting. Now Dio has jammed with Blackmore, Campbell, and Goldie, so that's quite a compliment. Did I mention that I have 13th row/center for Heaven and Hell/Megadeth at The Merriweather Post? Fuckin' A. Does anyone know where that phrase originated? Oh yeah, Metalchurch, I'm impressed that you mentioned Vanderhoof and Buxton. Cooper had such a talented band.
