Credo - you make a good point; everyone who has something to say about the war in Iraq has a reason why they are not there.

Rob - Okay, so you have Asthma. So does Jerome Bettis and he can get pretty physical. My daughter has asthma and that's a big reason why we quit playing clubs. My point is, if you can play 4-5 hours in a smokey club, you might just be able to go to Iraq, not that I really wqnt you, too.

It's interesting that a lot of the big conservative talk show host had a reason that they couldn't go to Vietnam. Jim Quin was fat (so was I, but i lost a lot of weight in a hurry once I was on active duty. Rush Limbaugh had a bad knee. I'm not sure about Sean Hannity, but I'll bet he had an excuse too.

The people who are the most adament supporters of the Iraq war are the ones who never served, and whose children don't server either. George Bush is the biggest example of that. I've said since the beginning that the Bush twins should be on the front lines in Iraq, but there dad chickened out of Vietnam, so why should they different. Their grandfather, who was the youngest fighter pilot in WWII and who was shot down on a couple of occasions, must be very proud of his son and granddaughters. No wonder he hangs around with Bill Clinton. At least Bill's smart.

I tried to join the Army, but I'm a fag and they wouldn't take me.

To compare me to Bettis is just asinine. I can't fucking jog for a mile without collapsing. As far as drumming goes, I play pretty laid back and have been playing for years so my body is used to it. It gets tough sometimes, but I hang in there. Casinos are big and open, the smoke is nothing close to the small clubs back home.

That's it, I'm moving to Reno. I'll bet the desert air is really good for you, too. I should take my daughter to Nevada.

The idea that only those who have served are entitled to have an opinion is really illogical, and unamerican. Tell you what, nobody except people who have lost family members in the war are allowed to have an opinion against it, how about that?

See how silly that is?

Why did you include what you say in a quote? Anyway, the dryness is better for my asthma. I had a doctor a long time ago tell me to move to Arizona because of the dryness and lack of allergens as compared to PA. Although the altitude here is a bit higher. Reno is above 4,000 ft. Playing Lake Tahoe is tough, that's over 6,000 ft and you really can tell.
