That's the thing, in many cases, you don't see it until the "fuse blows," which is downright scary, but there are plenty of people who are cut loose from the justice system that are obviously effed up already, who many times just turn around and do worse things than they were busted for in the first place, especially in cases of domestic violence.

"Woman" filed for divorce in '03 citing "abusive behavior." She later pulled back on her complaint and stayed in the situation with the child. I'm guessing "the Crippler" had rage issues to begin with (honestly, how could you be in that business and not have some type of problem with anger management?) and the McMahon-approved steady diet of 'roids just compounded the problem.

I've always been optimistic about the human race as a whole , but there is definitely an "X-factor" that can't be accounted for until it's too late (Virginia Tech). It's not fair to those who just try to live and let live, but what can you do?

Of course, Tommy Lee Jones said in Men in Black: "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it."

Man, this kind of $hit pisses me off.

Chris was one of the best wrestlers of all times. his style reflected the dynamite kid the whole thing is crazy. How could all those wrestlers say what a good man he was? I am curious about the text messages. Benoits marriage was started on messed up grounds he was married and women his wife was married to a wrestler chris was fueding with(Kevin Sullivan) they started as a affair. Chris and kevin had several matches that didn't follow script. Kevin left wcw Chris stayed then Kevin was rehired and Chris left, then wcw went out of business, now Kevin needs a job? wrestliing is a dirty business who knows if there is a triple murder cover up, but for right now it seems chris was a telented wrestler with a sick mind that went over the top its truely horrible. Both times I met Chris he was soft spoken and polite! As for now it seems he was a sick person, I am sure more of the story will come out he had to have a motive! The news is playing this as riod rage well I just don't think it could be entirely to blame . . .

You know I will get slack from this but I feel absolutley no remorse for this man. He knew what he was doing was wrong and he ended up killing his family over it. He might have been a great wrestler but If he would have been any kind of a real man he would have stayed away from the juice and thought about his family. Once again innocent people are victims here and the wrong people pay the price. Sorry to offend anyone that was a fan but I have to speak my peace over shit like this.

i don't care if i offend any fans of this fucking asshole. i think wrestling is fuckin stupid and is sad to waste hours of your life watching that stupid shit on tv. making 500 large a year, he had the world by the balls and provided a good life for his family but he woke up one day and decided that wasn't good enough and just decided ehh, ithink i'll just kill my family this weekend. what a fuckin looser. and then he figured, man, i really fucked up, let me put this bible here and everything will be cool when i'm waiting to get in to heaven. i hope god slams the fuckin door in his face. dickhead. HE KILLED HIS CHILD, i can't even get that, not even alittle bit.

i'm done

Wrestling is retarded, but this is a shame really.

I bet this is a public relations nightmare for the WWE.

Vince is a slime, but I was glad to see him come out and apologize for the three-hour tribute to ƒü©khead. In defense of the WWE's decision to air that, the facts weren't all in at the time and, as far as they knew, he and his family were murder victims.

No matter what this jackass's legacy as a wrestler is or was, they need to run in the opposite direction as fast as they can from Mr. Benoit.

I say again, burn in Hell, a$$hole.

Vince McMahon was on Today Show today:

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/19474972/

He sounds like he is still upset over it. I would be also if I was him. What Benoit did was inexcusable, and yes, when they did the tribute, they had no idea what all the facts were yet. With my new belief structure - I hope Benoit burns in hell. He had no reason to do what he did. It was inexcusable and uncalled for. He had a great life providing for his family in ways other would dream of. What a loser to do something like this. I lost total and absolute respect for the guy and I can't even fathom why some would do something like this..

Have ya'll read the latest? I'm telling ya this gets weirder and weirder as the days go on.

Dead wrestler's Web page was altered

By HARRY R. WEBER, Associated Press Writer 2 minutes ago

ATLANTA - Investigators are looking into who altered pro wrestler Chris Benoit's Wikipedia entry to mention his wife's death hours before authorities discovered the bodies of the couple and their 7-year-old son.

Benoit's Wikipedia entry was altered early Monday to say that the wrestler had missed a match two days earlier because of his wife's death.

A Wikipedia official, Cary Bass, said Thursday that the entry was made by someone using an Internet protocol address registered in Stamford, Conn., where World Wrestling Entertainment is based.

An IP address, a unique series of numbers carried by every machine connected to the Internet, does not necessarily have to be broadcast from where it is registered. The bodies were found in Benoit's home in suburban Atlanta, and it's not known where the posting was sent from, Bass said.

Benoit strangled his wife and son during the weekend, placing Bibles next to their bodies, before hanging himself on the cable of a weight-machine in his home, authorities said. No motive was offered for the killings, which were discovered Monday.

Also Thursday, federal drug agents said they had raided the west Georgia office of a doctor who prescribed testosterone to Benoit.

The raid at Dr. Phil Astin's office in Carrollton began Wednesday night and concluded early Thursday, said agent Chuvalo Truesdell, a spokesman for the Drug Enforcement Administration. No arrests were made.

Hours before the raid, Astin told The Associated Press he had treated Benoit for low testosterone levels, which he said likely originated from previous steroid use.

Among other things, investigators were looking for Benoit's medical records to see whether he had been prescribed steroids and, if so, whether that prescription was appropriate, according to a law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity because records in the case remain sealed.

Astin prescribed testosterone for Benoit, a longtime friend, in the past but would not say what, if any, medications he prescribed when Benoit visited his office Friday.

State medical records show that Astin's privileges were suspended for three months in 2001 at a Georgia hospital for "reasons related to competence or character."

Astin did not return calls to his cell phone from the AP on Thursday.

Anabolic steroids were found in Benoit's home, leading officials to wonder whether the drugs played a role in the killings. Some experts believe steroids cause paranoia, depression and violent outbursts known as "roid rage."

Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said in a statement Thursday that he could not immediately comment on the raid.

Benoit's page on Wikipedia, a reference site that allows users to add and edit information, was updated at 12:01 a.m. Monday, about 14 hours before authorities say the bodies were found. The reason he missed a match Saturday night was "stemming from the death of his wife Nancy," it said.

Reporters informed the Fayette County district attorney's office of the posting Thursday, and the agency forwarded the information to sheriff's investigators, who are looking into it, a legal assistant said in an e-mail to the AP.

WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt said that to his knowledge, no one at the WWE knew Nancy Benoit was dead before her body was found Monday afternoon. Text messages released by officials show that messages from Chris Benoit's cell phone were being sent to co-workers a few hours after the Wikipedia posting.

WWE employees are given WWE e-mail addresses, McDevitt said, though he did not know whether Chris Benoit had one.

"I have no idea who posted this," McDevitt said. "It's at least possible Chris may have sent some other text message to someone that we're unaware of. We don't know if he did. The phone is in the possession of authorities."

On Thursday afternoon, the Wikipedia page about Benoit carried a note stating that editing by unregistered or newly registered users was disabled until July 8 because of vandalism.

In other developments Thursday, Ballard told the AP that 10 empty beer cans were found in a trash can in the Benoit home. An empty wine bottle was found a few feet from where Benoit hanged himself, Ballard said.

It could take several weeks for toxicology tests to be completed on Benoit to see what substances, if any, were in his system.

Benoit took four months off from work in 2006 for undisclosed personal reasons, McDevitt said.

"He was feeling depressed, that kind of thing," McDevitt said.

In the days before the killings, Benoit and his wife argued over whether he should stay home more to take care of their mentally retarded 7-year-old son, according to an attorney for the WWE wrestling league.

The child had a rare medical condition called Fragile X Syndrome, an inherited form of mental retardation often accompanied by autism.

Chris Benoit's father, Michael Benoit, declined to comment on the slayings when reached Thursday by telephone in Alberta, Canada. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.

I'm finally going to put my two cents in on this topic. The Benoit outcome is a shame - a terrible tradegy. This brings shock & sadness & anger to many people. I must give Vince McMahon & the WWE organization a huge BARB for prematurely airing that tribute to Benoit last Monday night. I thought Vince & his cohorts were smarter than that. I was wrong. They should've waited for more details to roll in & then make an appropriate decision. I don't feel that this is Monday morning quarterbacking on my part just simple common sense. I bet "The Donald" wouldn't have done that if he was in charge! McMahon can apologize all he wants but this is a stain that's not gonna wash out of WWE history. I really feel sorry for the family members & hope some type of understanding & peace will eventually come out of this, but somehow I doubt it.

I definitely see your point, but on the other hand, there probably would have been people who chose to be critical of Vince and the WWE for treating the following Monday Night Raw as "business as usual." Without the luxury of hindsight, I probably would have been one of those people being critical. I agree though; this is going to be a black mark on professional wrestling for quite a while.

Drugs, especially ones like steroids with violent side effects, cause people to act in ways that normally they would not do (I think that is the argument). But, in the end, I agree that they chose to take them so they should be held 100% accountable for all actions that were done because of taking them.

And for most people who act like this, the seed is already there; it just needs water and sunlight to grow.

Are "they" the same "they" that covered up the Roswell crash? Because if it is the same "they," then it must be a conspiracy ...

Bottom line: Crazy, juiced up a$$hole killed his family and then the coward did himself. I'm surprised the puss had the nutz to follow through with the suicide.

Damn, it pisses me off when people make excuses for shmucks like this. I say again: May he BURN IN HELL for all of eternity.
