Oh, by the way, for those of you who dont know, our new drummer is Tim Layton formerly of 3 Broken Dolls. Dude, learned all of our songs in 3 weeks, thats 40 some songs in 3 fuckin weeks....Unheard of. Hopefully Cyphin has that kind of luck, shit, i wish anyone whos looking for band members that kind of luck.
Airing dirty laundry on a public forum is not the way to attract members of a band. If it were me auditioning and i saw this, it would deter me from being in the band for the simple fact that i would be afraid of the band dragging my name through the mud.
I for one would not get on here and say bad things about my band members, like eric is a complete scumbag, or mitch likes little boys. I certainly wouldnt get on here and say that kind of stuff, never.....ever. And i would never talk shit on someone from another band, like revealing bobby watters has "relations" with small farm animals. That shit just doesnt fly in a public setting...

If the guy wants to bitch, let 'em bitch. Some people might think it unprofessional, some might not. Some people will even care less about whatever the guy is bitching about. It all boils down to your opinion so I feel there are no right and wrong answers here.
I've worked with assholes before and they always ended up getting fired. You need to work with like-minded people and unfortunately that doesn't always happen.
Honestly, there needs to be less sugar coating on some of these issues and posts. It seems as if everybody treads lightly so as not to piss anther person off. I don't think anybody on here has any personal grudges against any other person, it's all just opinions so I say let 'er rip. If you get offended by what I might say or think, I could care less.
I don't think any less of this guy, he was just ranting. Yes, it's on a public forum, but there were no names mentioned. I could find out names if I wanted to but I don't care to 'cuz it's none of my business.
Personally, there are a lot of people out there that are playing that SHOULDN'T be playing either because of lack of talent or just plain lack of respect for other musicians and the business itself. If you're too wrapped up in other things to have time for a band, then don't lead your bandmates on, get on track or get out.
I wouldn't recommend "musicians" such as this drummer to anyone I knew if I knew there were going to be problems. It just makes sense.
I like hearing people rant and rave because it shows that everyone does go through the same dilemmas in "band-dome."
Just don't bash Rockpage because it is a good source of info and a good source for networking.

Hell yeah, Scott! I couldn't agree with you more, especially on these two points!bugglez24 wrote:

Lots of good points. As much as I honestly would like to drag his name out and share it with you I still have more respect than that. This guy has put us through so much the last few months. But without getting in to some big long story I'll leave it at that cause the problem is done and has been solves. He got the boot and a big fuck you pal. By any means by coming on here and posting this was I ever trying to get anyone pissed off I just needed to vent a little. We are just like any other band out there trying to make a name for them selves and all you know what it is like. There was 5 of us and it only takes one asshole in the bunch to ruin that. It just makes a band look like total shit, It doesn;t matter how many times you tell someone your sorry everyone isen't as understanding as some people. Unfortunetly in our case the owner was understanding but still upset.

I feel your pain Jason and know where your coming from ..I also know what everyone else is saying too..We have the same kinda thing going on too....Ya give guys a chance because they seem to be into it and have a "pro" attitude at first but then goes down hill from there. No one can predict the future. I agree not to bash anyone because it does no more than make you look bad in everyone elses eyes..
We don't ask for much. I just can't see why guys can't tell you that this isn't what they really want to do and its not working, but they will help you out till you find a replacement...Not let you hang not knowing and don't show up. And you have to hear from everyone else but him.
Thing to do is buck up and make things better than before...

First off, change your locks! There's a key looking for a home out there.
Seriously, being in a band takes commitment. If you don't have it, don't waste other people's time. It is hard finding the right mix of musicians to put a band together. The guy should have "fired" himself! I'm a firm believer in being upfront with your bandmates and telling them if you
have problems with schedules/material/ whatever. Honesty is the best policy! No bashing necessary, it will take care of itself. Good luck to you guys, and hope your search for a replacement is successful!

Don't be so literal Jackass "Yo Momma" refers to the MTV show.... And more specifically is used as a euphemism for a verbal melee...AtoMikEnRtiA wrote: im not too big on "yo momma" jokes.. it's not so much that i find them lame, it's just in your case.. i have nothing negative to say about your mom.. she sucks the best dick in 10 counties.. lol
And it's no wonder you find them "lame" cause yours ARE!!!
Peace, Out, haha...
And are you insinuating your momma sucks all the WORST dicks in 10 counties? hmmm interesting bragging point..... How proud your momma must be....
