Your never too young or too old to Rock n Roll
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and wounded a companion during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, spraying the fellow hunter in the face and chest with shotgun pellets.
Harry Whittington, a millionaire attorney from Austin, was in stable condition in the intensive care unit of a Corpus Christi hospital Sunday.
Here is a guy who has great military powers. Whoops sorry China or N. Korea I pushed the wrong button. I mean honestly can you trust a guy who shots someone in the face and says it was an accident. Hmmmm... Wonder if this rich chap was a Democrat? Sorry you looked like a bird! Good thing it wasn't Buck, he would have blown the guys head off.

RIGHT! Vice President Dick Cheney "ACCIDENTALLY" shot someone in the FACE! THE fucking "FACE"???
Siiiigh! Okay...I feel better...at the very LEAST, our Vice President needs to be changed.
I mean, come ON!!! How does one "accidentally" SHOOT someone in the FACE??? 'Splain that one to me.
(Pssst...at the very LEAST, he is negligent for not having had the Safety on... - and shooting someone in the FACE!...but go right ahead Conservative Right Wingers, tell us how he's "innocent"...)

I have a friend whos Dad actually was shot on accident by another hunter and lost his leg over it. Accidents happen while hunting. To say he actually shot someone in the face on purpose and then told the press it was an accident is absurd even to me...And I walk along neither party's side.

Though I believe Cheney to be human scum (I'm not a Bush fan, though I don't loathe the man. Cheney, on the other hand, is a piece of shit), it was clearly an accident.
My high school business/technology teacher lost his eye in a shotgun accident.

"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.
The initial press release, issued more than 24 hours late btw, indicates that the 78 year old stepped into the killzone before announcing his intentions to do so. If that's true, it would be his fault. You're supposed to stay in a straight line for that reason, but sometimes people get greedy for a shot, and step out of line.
I think if the real most powerful man in the free world (after Rove, of course
) wants to kill stuff, he should strap on an MP-5 and do it in Fallujah. Hooyah!

WHAT is the matter with me? I apologize, of COURSE that's the TRUTH...Lord knows that Cheney has been nothing but "truthful" and "honest", lo these many years.

Exactly.

Do you honestly think he shot a guy on purpose?
Like him or not, I can't see that happening.

Whether it was on purpose or not,
what really ticked me off, is there was no mention of the pigs being involved. If that was you or I who had negligently shot someone, our asses would be in a sling and some kind of charge would most likely be filed. The man was wearing bright Orange and it should have been easy to differentiate him from a Quail.
I agree if it was either of us that it would have been ALOT different.
I'm not defending Cheney because he's Cheney, but from what I understand bird hunting is pretty intense. Not intense like snowboarding or motocross racing, but like the surprise factor. I could see how an accident could happen even more doing some quail hunting where you are basically walking in a line with a bunch of other dudes waiting for a bird to scare the shit out of you, and then hurry up and shoot it before it's too far away, or someone else does. A lot of shit could have happened to cause him to shoot that guy. Maybe the guy was in front of the line?
Or maybe ol' Dicky didn't like him. I don't know.
I don't personally like Cheney or his views. My agruement is basically that a guy in his position wouldn't usually just shoot someone.......
He'd pay someone to do it for him!

I once accompanied a boyfriend and his brother Pheasant hunting for the walk and I also found and walked right up the birds they'd shot...they were way off, looking in the wrong place!
I can appreciate and understand the element of surprise and having to be quick when hunting any kind of Fowl. I find it hard to believe Cheney didn't notice a man wearing Orange in his sight and of course, he still pulled the trigger. There's definitely some kind of negligence Cheney should be held accountable for. We would be.
Cheney stated didn't he say anything for so long in deference to the woman who owned the property.
The man who was shot said he isn't going to talk about the incident out of respect for Cheney. That's all just so "special", as is how these people seem to be above the law.
Mikey Wax, I agree, normally this caliber (Pun intended!
) of people have others do their dirty work for them.

Yankee Rose seems awfully bitter. People are human, accidents happen. If it was Billy Joe and Bobby Ray, this wouldn't even be a blip on the radar. Again, accidents happen.
Then again, when somebody does something willfully malicious, like, say, stalking an ex and smashing into said ex's classic car with your vehicle, that is not an accident. It is an evil, terrible thing. I don't think Cheney ever did anything like that.

If this was Clinton, Kerry or Kennedy, the media would be all over the fact it was never reported, that they were negligent with a firearm and that they left the state, fled jurisdiction.
"Willfully malicious, EVIL and terrible"? Like lying about the reasons for a war thousands and thousands have died in? Like YOU with this post? Like defrauding someone of thousands of dollars and then when a new financial benefactor is found, trying to keep all of that person's household furniture by changing the locks and thereby instantly making said person and their children homeless? All because the woman wouldn't do what he wanted and after months of being lied to, was going to pack her belongings and move, along with all of her furniture? IF that woman had not been railroaded, constantly denied a public defender, for almost a year - and had court appointed legal counsel prior to 1 month before her trial - the fact that she was, at that time, under the affects of medication she'd never before taken in her entire life (Which she was taking due to the horrible way the "victim" treated the "criminal" and her children...the relationship ending was fine, being made homeless was devastating.), and the interaction of the medication with a few alcoholic drinks would have been more than a proper defense with any other judge than the "victim"'s buddy. His buddy the judge, who he'd had for numerous support, visitation and custody hearings that had all gone in his favor, made sure the "criminal" was railroaded and allowed a totally BOGUS estimate on the damages to the piece of CRAP car to stand. "Stalking" and a "Classic car?"
