Yea,and what if this kid loses his marbles over it,and let's say this was at a school your children attended,he comes in w/ a gun, starts shooting at innocent people and your kid gets gunned down, dead, then would it still be a good lessoned learned?

Personally, I don't understand why people get so damn passonate about a sports team. That's why I don't understand situations like this. Who cares what kind of jersey he's wearing.
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

I've thought for years that schools should do more about bullying and what my daughter and her friends refer to as "the drama". There's one girl I call my "other daughter", who moved to Altoona this past Summer. She said it's not bad because there are a lot more students and everyone sort of blends in. She seems to like it there, any way.

If you read how else the student reacted, "shaking, furious", wasn't it...that's not good at all...some "lesson". The paper throwing was a enough of a lesson that he was different from everyone else. If paper throwing had happened to one of my children by their peers, I would have asked them, "what did you expect was going to happen, wearing that to school"? I actually warned my son to be prepared earlier this school year...for his birthday, he'd been given a t-shirt with last year's Super Bowl Teams on it...but the day he first wore it, he came home with the biggest smile and said everybody thought he was cool, because many of them like the Eagles...that a few kids were following him around and he'd never been so popular! Go figure. I've always taught my kids to be individuals, yes, but there's also something called common sense and as others said, being responsible for your actions when you have a fairly good idea of how others might react. Being that the class is about Ethnicity, I can let the Teacher leading the paper throwing slide and accept his reasoning behind it. HOWEVER, I say the teacher is an asshole and wasn't satisfied until he humiliated him. He should NOT have made him sit on the floor to take the exam, period! If that part had happened to one of my children, whoo boy! I would demand some kind of action be taken against the teacher by the school board, at the very least!!!

My point exactly ... "don't piss on an electric fence when you know it will shock you" ... that's the lesson, not, "don't be a Denver fan because we don't like the Broncos ..."

BS. The teacher had no business tormenting this kid and inviting the entire class to join in. A good oportunity to teach tolerance and acceptaence of others and there ideas. But, no, bigotry and intolerance was the lesson of the day. :(

So that kid couldn't wear his Bronco shirt because he lives out by Pittsburgh?I bet he didn't expect his teacher to react that way.

Round and round and round we go ... as I stated three times now, I'm just playing devil's advocate here ... I see what you're saying, but you can't see anything but what you're saying.

Write that school board a letter or, better yet, enjoy some beans.

Oh, he can wear his Broncos Jersey, but come ON, he or his parents had to have expected he'd cause some turmoil and he'd draw some kind of flack, but from other students. I often talked to, joked with and even had 1 or 2 heated discussions with a couple of my Teachers, :) but this? Nothing even remotely close. I don't believe he expected the Teacher to behave that way, either. There was no lesson to be learned in making him sit on the floor to take the test...all I feel it was, was that he hadn't broken him down and that was his asshole aim. I wonder how many other students he's totally humiliated for a "lesson", or has it only happened to this student? I'd wager it's only this one. All because of the Steelers? What a DICK!

That's my point, the teacher had no right acting that way-bust on the kid is one thing, sittin' him on the floor and throwin' shit is another. I'm sure the kid expected it from the other students to get ragged on.What if the kid would've got up and beat the shit out of the teacher, would he have gotten expelled? Hmmm,I wonder.

you fly off the handle on this board at the slightest hint of what you perceave as a flame on your person but you don't experience one-tenth of what he did because he was PHYSICALLY present.

yours is just virtual and you go apeshit :(

Troll, none of us discussing this was physically present. Are you drunk, or just having another identity crisis, for you described yourself perfectly. You've just attacked me again, FOR NO REASON.
Moi, "apeshit"? Well, if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black! I've never gone "apeshit" as you call it, simply because someone doesn't like the same kind of Beer as I. Ever hear of banter? Reasonable people partake in it all the time, often times with humor. Also, the word is "perceive" and I can read between the lines quite well. :D Back off, Troll.

the KID was physically present not you... geez. maybe that's the problem, your "reading between the lines" when you should be reading the LINES.

And that "Back off, Troll" self-riteous insult, just proves my point.

"Back off, Troll", was a warning, NOT an insult and you know it. ...or do you? I wasn't speaking of "reading between the lines" regarding the incident in the Classroom. Sometimes I wonder if you even comprehend the English Language at all. None of us were there in that Classroom, so WTF is your point, other than the one on your head? (Most of THAT was an insult! See the difference?)
Would you like me to find and Post, Post after Post of yours that are nothing BUT self-righteous insults on any number of us, at any given time, for various asinine reasons? I can allow things to slide, I've tried my best to get along with you, hell, I've wanted to meet you...but you just don't stop! You ARE nothing but a Troll and I'm tired of being attacked by you. LEAVE ME ALONE, or I promise, I will do nothing BUT insult you at any given opportunity...and you make it so easy, I'll enjoy every minute of it. I don't appreciate feeling like that at all, but you do tend to bring out the worst in those you engage in what you stated is your "mind fuck" with. ...and I say this to you: do NOT complain.
If you can be allowed to openly Troll and freely Spam, then so be it. The way I see it, it's "Open Season on Trolls". It's been a long, tiring day for me and maybe I'll regret this Post tomorrow, but then again, maybe I won't. I do know that as of right now if you left RockPage, many of us would feel a sense of relief.
