Talked to Cathy last night on the phone and all I heard the whole time was Ed playing on his new drums! Good Job man! We will try to make Burgi's this weekend!

hmmm, no it wasn't meant to be a degenerative, sorry Bob. I try to be nothing but supportive of others. I have always played Zildjian since I started, until this year when I got turned on to Paiste and now I am totally sold on their cleaner and brighter sound and smooth decay.

I don't know Ed, but I agree he should rock on.

And I have said it before, MY faith is for ME, I don't care what YOU think about it. I don't care if you bash or have religion, it's what I need in my life.

lol, yeah they can be a bit pricey.

It all depends on what you're playing. I also have an all zildjian pack (plus wuhan lion china) that I use when I am playing heavier stuff. For the lighter rock stuff, I definitely like the Paistes.

New kit (with Ed at the controls) sounded great (as did G Gap) last night ! Ed, I need to know what my wife agreed to concerning an Edge Snare, because today she "doesn't remember". LOL

Ed's new DW's were in the house at Burgi's this past Saturday night.

One of the first things I noticed was the camera guy from Tumbleweed Photography...Ed, I know you're proud of your new DW's, but did you have to hire a photographer to get pics of you behind the new kit? (j/k, LOL!)

Here's a pic of Ed, playing with his new toys...

And go figure, Ed is just 30 minutes into playing his new kit out publicly for the first time, and RobtheDrummer is already on the stage to initiate the new drums...

Seriously, though, Generation Gap put on a very good show, and I was blown away with the huge crowd in attendance early on, including a number of Rockpagers, and other folks I haven't seen in ages (former Aldo's regular Bellwood Bruce made his first public appearance in a long time!). I liked the mix of old and new song material, Generation Gap kept the style and mix consistent, to appeal to a broad range of ages. Good stuff!

Homer's Army then invaded Burgi's stage, and likewise rocked the house. New guitarist Jimmy Smith - this man can jam! The night-ending rendition of "Free Bird" with Jimmy and Tim Homerski taking their dueling guitars to the house was incredible! I also was blown away with both Jethro Tull displays, with Tim doing his best Ian Anderson flute work on "Cross Eyed Mary" and "Locomotive Breath" - excellent!

Here's Homer's Army in action:

Griff and Jimmy Smith were obviously having fun kicking out the jams...

And John Homerski Jr. also had the opportunity to initiate Ed's new DW's...

And a good time was had by all...
