A good friend of all of ours from this page lost a very young pet kitty cat yesterday. Please give Zappa's X a hug next time you see her, she lost her three year old baby way too early.......I'm sure all of you can relate to the pain that you feel when you lose your best friend.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have three of my own... and I've only ever had to put one down. She just turned two. One of the best kats I could have ever had...nad FVP got her. ::sniffles:: So... your kitty and my kitty can chase mousies together now...

...and she was burried under the dogwood tree. I thought it was fitting.

 ZXW has my sympathy and empathy...it doesn't matter how long one has a beloved pet, whether it's months or years, if it's close to you and it's suddently gone from your life, it's going to hurt.
We had a kitten once, "Buddy", he was my youngest boy's and followed him everywhere, almost like you'd think a dog would...we didn't even have him 6 months, but when he was hit by a car and died, it broke my heart...he was "a special one"...the odd thing was, he once played with a small dog next door, they took turns chasing one another around outside, it was so cute. A few weeks later when I told the neighbor about Buddy, he told me the dog had met the same fate. I said the same as above, they are chasing one another around in Heaven. :) Between a cat I had for 14 + years, Ernie - and Buddy, it's taken 3 to fill the void they left. There are times I could almost swear that Tiger, actually Buddy's brother from a different litter (I was glad the peope we got Buddy from never had their cat Spayed!), is him reincarnated, except that he also fetches, like the first cat I had did. I was 19 out of my parents' house. My mother dislikes animals, so other than outside dogs and we had a few ducks once, that was it. My sister had a cat for many years and since it died years ago, she's refused to get another...I think that's the worst thing you can do...like our children and parents, pets give us unconditional love, the best kind there is.

ZXW,

im sorry about your kitty  . It is hard to lose someone you love soooo much..... whether its a cat dog brother sister no matter who they are still family to you. He'll be you kitty angel :D

Hang in there "this to shall pass". I know it is hard but when you are feeling down think about all the great times you had with your kitty.

I lost my beloved Samantha to cancer this past summer. It broke my heart to have her put down. No more than a month and a half later my mom lost her cockapoo, Cocoa.

Since then I've gained a loveable ball of fur named Cali (she's a calico) and we're looking around for another small dog as a companion for our Golden Retreiver (Sting).
The person below me enjoys a good spanking.

Man does it ever suck to lose a pet.

When I moved to my new house my 3 year old yellow lab Zig Zag(Ziggy)
was hit by a car and killed. That dog was sooooo cool. About a year after that I took in a woman's Dobie/Shepard(Jethro) cause my neighbor who was supposed to be take'n care of him, shot him for eating some of his chickens and a turkey , which to this very day I don't think he did it. I doctored him up and he made a great friend to my family and my chocolate lab (Duke). Over last years winter Duke started to show signs of his old age(14 or so),and began have'n blackouts and stuff so I knew I had to prepare myself for his passing. Geez, I had that dog so long that he somewhat seemed like he was a person at times. One night a while my wife was feeding him he kinda passed out at the food dish. She yelled for me and when I got downstairs ,I knew that this was the last time I was go'n to get to hug him and tell him how great of a dog he's been to all of us. When I sat next to him and tried to wake him, he sorta woke up for a minute and looked at my wife and I ,almost like he knew it was his last time to see us and then he took a couple of last breaths and passed away in my arms. We were very upset for days and still miss him alot. And if that isn't enough heartache for a while to begin with,Jethro ended up getting cancer in his back leg and I had to put him down a couple of months ago. Animals to me are sacred and should be treasured always!
I totally feel your pain and hope ya feel better. Lose'n a pet is like lose'n a family member and it's one of the hardest things to deal with.

So just try to rember them and think about all the cool stuff they've done! :)
