Time for some laughter...

Post by Jim Price »

This is in a foreign language, but I think you'll get the gist of what's going on about 2 or 3 minutes in. The show host is trying to conduct a serious interview about medical procedure failures with some victims of such failures. Listen to the guests' voices and observe how the show host responds.

I hope this never happens when I'm doing the "Backyard Rocker!"

Next time I'm on the Rocker, I'm gonna talk like that. I felt bad for poor Mariike, being in a wheelchair like that, with people laughing at her man.----->JMS

I've never had that happen to me on the air yet (knock on wood), although I have forgotten my guest band's name twice in the history of the show (always an embarrassing moment!).

At the last radio station I worked at, our morning newsman had it happen to him. The morning jock just casually mentioned to him that he had a certain medical procedure (a barium treatment) performed on him the day before, and it brought back instant memories to our newsman of something hilarious he once saw while working as a paramedic. It was moments before the 7 AM newscast, and the top news story was a car wreck that killed 3 people. Our newsman lost it on the air right in the middle of that story; it was terrible! Our station manager called and reamed him out afterward, telling him, "That was the worst radio I've ever heard!" But then he followed with, "...but is was funny as hell!"
