Have you noticed the sticky crap the security stickers on the case have been leaving behind after you peel them off? It's irritating, because it gets on everything you put the case against, including other clean cases. I think they need to have 3M engineer a new security sticker, Post-it notes never leave a sticky residue behind!

Yeah, I usually don't put a security sticker on my CD cases after I BURN MY OWN CDs.

It's all about the SAUCE...and of coarse, the 4 W's.
I tend to agree with everyone....I actually buy about 1-2 actual CD's per year.....and just recently after purchasing the new Our Lady Peace disc (an excellent purchase, I highly recommend)...I learned a new trick to get the sticky shit off the CD, or from anything else:Nail Polish Remover (thanks to my girlfriend for this tidbit).....try it...it'll work on just about anything.....

Yeah, I still buy a few CD's, and that sticky adhesive crap is a problem, especially if the CD has been on the shelf for a while before being purchased, and the glue has gummed up. I personally use a few inches of adhesive tape, and dab the sticky side to the glue on the case. After doing this a few times, the glue on the case starts to pull off. This usually works, but takes patience and a few minutes...
Yeah, I am rather high up on the technological food chain....I am familiar with this technology. However, I only buy from the iTunes store when;PastaJoe wrote:...there is a little thing called iTunes Music Store that sweeping the world, if you don't like to steel.Yeah, theft is really something to be proud of.
1. I only want 1 or two songs from a CD and don't want to spend the full amount to get 10+ songs that I am not going to listen to.
2. iTunes offers exclusive content that you can only buy from iTunes. (IE: Jeremy Camp's EP they sell which isn't available in stores)
Personally, I prefer the higher sound quality of the actual discs to the somehwat lossy format of the mp3's you get from download sites as well. Another issue is, if I have a store bought CD and in say 6 months I decide I really dislike it, then I have something to re-sell and at least recover a few bucks. Unlike iTunes, where you basically rent or lease the right to listen to the song.
ASB10, make sure you check to see that the fingernail polish remover will not eat your plastic first before you go rubbing it in! It may work on your cd cases but may ruin something else. I've junked a thing or two myself with fingernail polish remover.

Goo-Gone shouldwokr to get the sticky stuff off. I agree and do like the sound quality of the CD as opposed the the MP#,WMA, whatever.
Stealing is a matter of opinion, lots of people can come up with lots of justification for lots of things. Oh Well!

I do buy cd's. About 98% of all my cd's are purchased (and of course all of my cassettes and ablums) If I like the music an artist creates, I feel that he or she deserves payment for their art, their livelyhood, and their blood sweat and tears. You may call me old fashioned, but when friends burn a good cd to give to me, a little part of me feels like I cheated the artist.
How is paying for a recording of an artist's music any different from paying to go see them at a show?
