old sKool's Restaurant Review

Post by bassist_25 »

Hey everyone,

We were off last night, which means that I didn't get to talk to Ken. That of course means that I didn't get to hear any old sKoolisms. In lieu of an old sKool quote this week, I decided to go back in the archives and dig up a special treat: old sKool's food review of Pellegrines. Enjoy.

This week's review is based on some fine food I recently enjoyed at Pellegrines in Altoona. My choice on this particular evening was the Traditional Club Sandwich and the Jalapeno Fries. The sandwich featured fresh & tasty meats & other items typically found in a club sandwich and was served with chips. The fries while not hot & "bitey" as some may think were pleasantly seasoned and complimented the sandwich rather well. Another pleasing aspect of the meal was the prompt & courteous hostess. A cheery smile like that goes well with any dish (props also for the tu-tone hair)! Bottom line- heck yes, fershizzle!

There you have it; even the very discriminating taste of old sKool (he's been known to be even more of a connoisseur of fine pastries) loved Pelly's food. So be sure to stop on down (from what I hear, there's also some quality entertainment there on Sunday, August 21st) and get something to eat.

I'll be sure to bring back some more old sKool classics. Be sure to check out the old sKool box set, which features discarded old sKoolisms that were either too long or controversial to put in my signature.
