Please, some one correct me if this is wrong. But, I was listening to one of my favorite Sirius Satellite stations today, they played a zappa song. After the song was over they mentioned that Frank Zappa's dad was a bass player in the Fred Wearing (sp?) orchestra.
So would this mean that he lived in PA, and would this also mean the Zappa is from pa ?? I could be wrong on this, so if I am please let me know ...

That's all part of an urban legend.
The guy who WAS the bass player in Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians was none other than Hugh Brannum, better known as Mr. Green Jeans.
The urban legend claims that Zappa was Mr. Green Jeans' son. Not true.
The legend comes from "Son of Mr. Green Genes" off of Zappa's "Hot Rats" (aka ZXW's avatar). Wierd how Zappa's ex didn't know that.
