I saw Fantastic Four today and I am still not sure how I felt about it. I thought it had positive moments and not so positive moments.
Positives - No long, drawn-out storyline concepts. They pretty much got down to business. Good CGI scenes and sequences.
Negatives - Chiklis was adamant about using makeup and little CGi enhancement for his character (the thing) but at points it just looked like Michael Chicklis in a latex costume and I think they should have enhanced his scenes more to make him look better. Also, some of the lines by all characters were just very forced and fake, actually some of the scenes came off that way entirely...similar to the cheesey scenes in Judge Dredd.
I don't think it was a waste of my time or money, I enjoyed it....but I just thought a few things could have been a little better.
Anyone else see it?

I dug it, & was totally entertained but I get what you're saying.
I liked the Thing's suit... I think it was better than it all being CGI. I mean, the HULK looked like a damn cartoon... and come to think of it, so did Mr. Fantastic at soem points in the FF film. Sue & Johnny were done perfectly though, & they set it up for a return.
They need to do a Marvel universe flick.
I wish Dr. Doom had a more powerful voice/presence.
I'm a comic book movie nut, I never read much FF though... so I didn't pick up on any 'continuity' issues.

I haven't seen this yet... basically, I never watched the fantastic four so...just getting into the world of Marvel. Jamie's been beating on me regularly when I say, "Well, who is this? Why is Doc Ock Angry?" Such things. I wasn't much into comic books. Didn't know how Spider man became spider man....What a giant worm had to do with Xmen (Nightcrawler...definitely not a worm). I did make him happy when I new who beast was in Xmen.
So.. daredevil, electra, spider man, xmen....all of marvel is something of a new thing to me. That's why it's soooo cool to go see the movies. We haven't seen the Four yet...but from what you're saying, how can knowing that the CGI'sh suit be so bad, when Doc Ock was cgi in spiderman.... Or was it so bad CGI that you couldn't help but know it was fake? (Ock was done pretty well I think)
And...I've never seen the Hulk...but I saw commercials... And was it Michael Landin that played him on tv? He'd roll over in ye olde grave....
