what's your thoughts on this band? i heard some pretty interesting things about them, particularly their singer Dave Mustane and was wondering what everyones else thoughts were.

They were my favorite metal band, they were awesome. I haven't listen to them much since Marty Friedman and Nick Menza left though.

Megadeth is okay... I swear Dave lip-synchs live, but that's just me.

i heard they were touring w/ Exodus and was planning on picking up Overkill/Testament and Anthrax..anyone else have any info on this................

Here's the tour details:

Megadeth presents "Gigantour", and it's the brainchild of MEGADETH frontman/guitarist DAVE MUSTAINE.

Set to launch in late July, GIGANTOUR is a six-week festival trek co-headlined by MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER, who'll be accompanied by other mainstage acts Fear Factory, Dillinger Escape Plan and Nevermore. Artists for the second stage will be announced in the coming weeks.

Theres a ton of discussion about this on the Overkill site. Dave wants Overkill to play but they have some conflicting dates. I asked Blitz Ellsworth (Overkill singer) in NJ 2 Saturdays ago, if there was any truth to the rumors that they might play on "Gigantour" and he said,"yes, probably 2nd stage." I kinda rolled my eyes and said,"2nd stage?". And Blitz said,"that's better than NO stage!" So I think theres going to be a "revolving" band list on that tour. I also heard that OK may play the main stage until Dillinger Escape Plan (who ever that is) can take over.
Hit the link and theres a few threads about it. I'm sure the Megadeth site has news too.

Dillinger Escape Plan is there to get younger kids to come out....They are horrible but, hardcore kids love them...
