HOMEGROWN ROCKER 5/15/16

Post by Jim Price »

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 15 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

We took another opportunity to check out new arrivals in the "Homegrown Rocker" mailboxes this week, and debuted some new music. We introduced new tunes from The Satin Hearts (Strange Brew), Adam Gingrich, Daily Grind, James Lee and Joe Newtz. Along the way, we updated "Local Music News," dug a 2004 song by Uncle Travelling Matt from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to check out a tune by New York City's MOther, and reviewed Don Hoffman Bluz's Unfinished Business CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

On our next program, we'll be visited in the studio by Lewistown-based singer and songwriter Chip Jabs! A former member of Even As We Speak, Chip has been writing new songs and assembling a new project; listen as we get the latest scoop on Chip's career, and he will bring along guests and play a few songs live! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, and review Roger Hammer's Up In The Air CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
