FS - Red Knob Fender Twin

Post by kayla »

I'm guessing on the date of this amp - around 1988. I'm not the original owner. Tube's were changed about a year ago. Was checked recently for a squealing problem - haven't had issues with it since. hasn't been gigged out with for several months. it's in decent cosmetic shape - the wheels could use a lil tightening.

Has a beautiful clean tone and nice gain tone. It has a 25w and 100w switch - which is a nice feature. i only ever used it on 100w when we were playing in large outdoor events.

the downside. this thing is super heavy. Fender only issued these amps for approximately six years. the problem was the weight and they were known for blowing tubes.

here is an ebay ad for the same amp
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Fender- ... 4897.l5660

i'm not really looking to trade, but i'm open to whatever. $650

Thanks for looking!
