Bing Crosby & David Bowie - Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy

Back in 1977, two of the most unlikely music performers came together for a collaboration on Bing Crosby's then-upcoming television special, Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas. The track was recorded on September 11, 1977. Crosby died on October 14, nearly five weeks after recording the special; in the U.S., the show aired just over a month later, on November 30, 1977.

The pair exchanged scripted dialogue about what they each do for their family Christmases, before singing "Little Drummer Boy" with a new counterpoint with original lyrics written for the special, "Peace on Earth".

I was reading somewhere that Bing Crosby had no idea who David Bowie was....And he had him on the show because his grandson was a fan ... It is good performance.
Music Rocks!
