Thanksgiving Plans
We usually get the whole damn family together for lunch, sit around holding our guts watching football... Pretty basic for the most part, but then i break from the family at night and hit the annual 'Turkey Night" at Shaw's with The Hurricanes.
How about you guys?
How about you guys?
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

I'm getting drunk first and foremost. Then I'm gonna probably get yelled at by my wife after which I will retreat to my room and drink some more and jam some Lucero, or some Townes, and feel sorry for myself. All that until my drunkenness makes everything seem tolerable again. Then the real fun starts.
I may grab a bite to eat as well. I may just grab more bourbon.
Save a life and drink your turkey this year.
Be thankful there is at least one path beyond sobriety that is legal.
Happy Turkey Day, and pass the stuffing,
Brian

You ever watch "heartworn Highways"? Great stuff! Especially the TVZ footage!
This reminded me of another Thanksgiving tradition. I will start a new Thread!!!!

That was my ritual for years man. Wake up, go to Sheetz and get a turkey mto, then be a lazy piece of shit for the next 12 hours. Now a days I skip the Sheetz because I'm a lazy piece of shit.ToonaRockGuy wrote:I'm going to sleep in, go to a restaraunt by myself for some turkey, then go to work at Walmart from 4pm - 4am. Yay. It's actually a really great holiday. It took quite a few years before I truly got it, but I've got a LOT to be thankful for. Life, love, forgiveness, not to mention all the little stuff, too; hands are pretty kick-ass, I love socks. I'm thankful for the time I have on this earth, the people I get to share it with, and God's love.

This is the first thanksgiving i haven't had to work at either my main job or side job since 1991. The only thing i wish was that my dad who passed earlier this year could be here with the rest of us.
Does anyone else remember the 80's when after the parade on tv there were the old Godzilla, king kong type movies? Thats what were doing after dinner tonight. Godzilla vs monster zero and then king kong. After those its the african queen which was my dads favorite movie.
I hope you all have a happy and safe holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving
