It's hard to say really. I know his death made those boys grow up a hell of a lot. You can see how they changed really fast in a short period of time. I was in first or second grade when I remember my dad having the Master of Puppets cassette. LOL Man that was a while ago! And to top that off I was just watching Cliff 'Em All the other night. On VHS. Good god I age myself. Sometimes purposely.
Great video, and it really showed alot of candid shots of him and the band.
I remember this well....I was playing with Giornesto at the time in Penn Hills at Someplace else or the Other Place. Full house, couple bands then us, Todd made the announcement about Cliff...place went silent.....Bam , into Whiplash, place goes nuts!! One of the most emotional times i ever had playing music from one of my all time favorite albums. Back then this speed was so new and fresh. I would like to think they would have been alot heavier if Cliff was still around or........... he would be in jail for putting Lars out of his misery.
