Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the May 27 edition of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WRKY-FM (www.rocky1049.com) and WRKW-FM (www.rocky99.com).
As always, Memorial Day meant our annual journey down local music memory lane as we presented the 2012 edition of the “Homegrown Rocker” Memorial Day Special! For the first 90 minutes, we checked out music from former local and regional bands and artists, and dug especially deep this year to pull out some bands that area fans likely forgot about! During the show’s final half hour, we paid homage to some of the area musicians we lost along the way by celebrating the gifts they left behind, their music. This is always one of the most popular editions of the “Homegrown Rocker” every year; we hope you enjoyed this year’s edition!
