I don't like hate crimes, no matter what form of hate they are. You liberals just neglect to notice when a black person commits a hate crime.songsmith wrote:White on black hate crime in Tulsa. Why is the Rockpage Braintrust not upset about this? Because they're obviously okay with it, that's why!

Its ALL bad. I was simply pointing out the media controlled BS. Any kind of murder is bad. Doesn't matter if its killing simply for fun or murder for your country. All killing is bad. That's my stance. Is that clear enough for you? There's gonna be hate crimes and retaliation alot now. Ask yourself this though..where did it start this time? Who called for it? Who lit the fire for this?
Racism is alive because certain people thrive off it. People like Al dicklicker Sharpton OR Jesse jerkcircle Jackson wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for racism. Without racial tension, they are no one. So they keep it alive any chance they get. There are certainly white guys, or mexican guys, or asian guys that keep it alive too, I just dont know their names because the national media doesn't kiss their asses like the two I just mentioned.
Don't you see a problem with that??
Equality should mean equal. It doesnt. If there wasn't SO MUCH ATTENTION AND DEDICATION to racism, it would not exist. People generally get along. If everyone took time to learn about eachother, we would be better off.
Hey morons, Racism has NOTHING to do with political parties. Racism is ancient. Its predates the little white on black and black on white hate that gets so much attention. The modern racism that we have now is rampant among both parties. Its a HUMAN thing, not a political party thing. To think otherwise is..tardarific. mmmmmkay?

I think we all know that racism is an ancient thing. Many of us are adults who've actually given it a little thought.KeithReynolds wrote:Hey morons, Racism has NOTHING to do with political parties. There is, however, a tendency in a certain political party or persuasion, that opposed a Muslim Day Center near Ground Zero, that opposes gay military service and marriage, that feels racially profiling Mexicans is acceptable in Arizona, that alternately describes the Hawaiian-born black President as Kenyan/Indonesian/Muslim/Radical Christian/Communist/Nazi...
I ask again: Who really cares what Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson do? Only a few black people, and a lot of certain white people who do not like black people having their own versions of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.

Understanding race differences has been key to staying alive for a long, long time. It's in our DNA to feel safe around those we feel are "like" us and afraid around those we perceive as "unlike" us. This has allowed us (human beings--without regard to skin color) to survive as a species. In ancient days, going to a place with people who looked different than you could very likely get you killed. It also allowed you to form groups with others and there is safety in numbers.
Race is not just an issue with white people. I would question the honesty of any Caucasian who said they would feel totally comforable if they were put smack dab in the middle of South Central Philadelphia This is simply survival instinct. Yes, you can rise above it. Yes, you can ignore the initial feelings. Yes, you can make friends and develop relationships. Does feeling that initial tinge of difference make you a racist? If you think it does, I call bullshit.
But this goes both ways. I would also question the honesty of an African American who would say that they feel totally comfortable being placed smack dab in the middle of a polka show filled with ancient white people or in an all-white school (not the segregated kind, the "we are rural and there are just no minorities living in this area" kind). Would that make them racist? I don't think so.
To put the blinders on and call this only a "white" problem is to oversimplify and it is simply inaccurate. This is a human problem.
The racial problems in this country arise because the majority of its citizens are those who classify themselves as white and the country was built on the backs of slaves (who in the case of this nation happened to be of [mostly] african decent). This dark history has placed extra emphasis on black/white race relations. However, in another time or place the roles could have been reversed. There is not some innate quality in people with light skin to want to subjugate others, they simply seized on an opportunity to use other human beings for ill-gotten gain. To believe an entire group of people (Caucasians in this instance) is predisposed to subjugate others would clearly make you a racist yourself.
We have these knee jerk reactions regardless of what race we are in, because certain traits that we perceive in others as differences make us feel uncomfortable. This is simply a survival instinct. It does not make us evil. How we choose to deal with those feelings is what determines that.
I personally do not believe that this case is a hate crime. I think those words are bandied about too much and used too loosely in any instance where people of two different races are concerned. Some things are simply accidents, regular crimes, or poor judgement calls. Hate crimes certainly do exist and can be commited by anyone of any race toward that of another. Calling every crime involving whites/blacks a hate crime cheapens the meaning of the word and desensitizes it for the cases in which it truly applies. I think liberals and the liberal media are too quick to call hate crime. They do it before they know all the facts. It makes for great publicity. However, conservatives can be callous and come across as uncaring. Of the two, I do think that the conservatives are more rooted in common sense on these issues.
Post killed.

He is being sarcastic and referring to the people who disagree with him...or who he disagrees with. The context in which he used it proves that. Didnt you read the thread?
"Police are investigating the “racially motivated” beating of a 27-year-old man who was walking home from midtown bars early Saturday when he said he was jumped by five to eight men who shouted “Trayvon” before the attack.
The exclamation was an apparent reference to Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old from Miami who was shot and killed in February walking back to his father’s girlfriend’s house in Sanford.
“We do believe that the crime was racially motivated,” Gainesville Police Department spokeswoman Cpl. Angelina Valuri said.
The assailants were black, while the victim is white, Valuri said."

The victim can thank NBC, Sharpton, Jackson and the Kenyan for this.

Everyone is free to disagree with me, but I do not defer to people who think they'll "tell me how it is," or "straighten me out." This is a discussion, and discussions are not to be one-sided affairs. If you think I'm going to lie down and be steamrolled, you obviously lack the ability to read and understand.
The Rockpage Braintrust consists of several individuals who make sad attempts at the above. To a man, they are former Bush-voters who would like us to forget that they are former Bush-voters, and vehemently defended him then, while they forget him now.
The Rockpage Braintrust parrots talking-points from silly neoconservative talkshow hosts and outrageously false blogposts, and INSISTS that we follow them to the letter. Denying them their perceived authority usually results in anger, and when the truth is plain, they play whack-a-mole, pivoting to whatever insanity their heroes told them on today's show. Many, if not most times, they directly quote their handlers on a given subject.
All members of the Braintrust share a certain feeling of superiority, though few have any insight that the average person wouldn't have, and their need for validation and re-validation of the ideas they have been assigned makes them easy targets. Around this time last year, I gave up Rockpage for several months, and the political thread devolved into a few of them either patting themselves on the back for being neo, or complaining about the black president they didn't vote for. There is a need among the 'Trust to force the world to conform to their views, and when that doesn't happen, they get VERY frustrated.
There is a fast-track method of becoming a member of The Rockpage Braintrust. Espouse a conspiracy-theory (Birther, 9/11 Truther, Whitewater, Sharia law, etc). Cut-and-paste posting from radical right-wing blogs. Lie about your income, education, or experience. Quote right-wing talkshow hosts verbatim (enormously common here, nobody in the 'Trust ever has an original thought). Refer to the president you hate as a "socialist" or "communist," despite the profoundly good times corporations and their executives are currently experiencing (lowest taxes in 50+ yrs, lack of regulation & oversight, etc.) Truly hate all forms of government, especially while actively supporting Republican candidates. Hate the middle class and workers, especially if you also assume you will join the 1%... eventually. Worship Ronald Reagan, while criticizing anyone who does the exact same things Reagan did. The list goes on and on, the "opportunities" for hypocrisy and denial are endless.
Oh, nearly forgot: When you're faced with losing your given argument, personally criticize the person you're arguing with... writing style, his personal situation, career choices, band, income, etc.
I've been hoping for some new bullies lately, the regulars are way too easy.
BTW, simply being conservative does not guarantee membership to the Braintrust. I have lots of conservative friends, and my oldest and closest friend is probably more realistically conservative than anyone here. But he's not a d*ck about it.

See? this shit is getting out of control. Time to get a gun. I WILL NOT be beaten by a group of people, nor will I watch anyone get beaten like that.
Edit: I thought maybe Songsmith included me in his Braintrust insult, but after reading his description of who he is including, I dont think im in that club. Oh well. Better luck next time I guess.

"Sanford police car shot near Trayvon Martin scene"

The racists have done their job and stirred things up. This just the start.
The Black Panthers and a Neo Nazi group are both reported to be in the Sanford, Fl. area. What a volatile mix.

EXACTLY! did you hear about it before I posted that? NOPE. That crime is a million times worse than the shooting of someone who is attacking someone. Its kept quiet though.
The powers that be only choose to let certain things infiltrate the minds and emotions of the entire country. It has to fit an agenda. People are easily controlled without even knowing it. The more violence we have means the more controlled we will be.
They will say "look at you, thats why we had to lock you all down". When in actuality, the plan to lock the american people down was the goal the whole time. We live in a time in which psychological warfare is king. All other warfare is a byproduct of the REAL attack. Maybe it sounds crazy to you, but you obviously must still have the veil on. Anyone who wants to get things done without getting their hands dirty directly know the technique very well.
We are playing a cosmic chess game. For now, you can be glad you live in America. One day, that may not be the case. Tracing back, you will see the entire thing was orchestrated for a purpose.
Nutcase out.
