O.M.G!

Only the ones you thought were attractive looked like they had work or were photo-shopped. The people you equate as "ugly" were natural. You get older, you are going to get wrinkles, your body will change. That is if you are a natural person. Only those who hide behind surgery are going to look un-naturally good. So what does that mean? Only those that can afford the procedures are going to look good. Can you afford them? If not I guess you are destined to be ugly.jetcitywoman wrote:do those afters look "shopped" to you..CHICKSINGA wrote:Oh, and by the way - you do know that most celebrities pictures are photoshopped like crazy, right?

I mostly agree with you, but some of those people would have looked better if they hadn't been abusing drugs and alcohol for the past 30 + years because they wanted to be cool "rock stars". It wouldn't surprise me if most of the women had work done, though, alot of them looked like they were in pretty good shape. I can always appreciate someone letting themselves age gracefully, I think its a great thing to see in this day and age. I don't see anything wrong with taking care of yourself, eating right, exercising, etc but constant dieting, plastic surgery, spending tons of money on makeup and hair dye...that's vain and pathetic in my book. Of course, I'm the child of an incredibly vain woman who did all that, -bleached her hair continually, wore too much makeup all the time, bleached her teeth, crash dieted and starved herself, wore 3 inch heels until her joints started to go bad - so I guess I have first hand knowledge of the dark side of that lifestyle. I just can't see the positive in living that lifestyle, and I think we need to change the way worth is measured in our society. It should be measured by life experience, knowledge, intelligence...not appearance. The older you get, the more treasured you should become not vice versa. I suppose that's why I appreciate many Asian cultures so much. They have a great respect for the elderly, and I think we should learn to appreciate age also.CHICKSINGA wrote:Only the ones you thought were attractive looked like they had work or were photo-shopped.
