"U.S. forces STILL flying hundreds of bombing raids over Libya as Obama says America is only playing a limited role"
From Joe's source:

"However Robert Turner, co-founder of the Center for National Security Law at the University of Virginia said: 'Legally, this is his discretion, but he is in clear violation of the statute.
'The reason he’s not bound by that is because the statute is clearly unconstitutional."

'Since 31 March, the U.S. has flown a total of 3,475 sorties...Of those, 801 were strike sorties, 132 of which actually dropped ordnance.'

One hundred thirty two actually dropped ordinance.

As far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong, only drones have dropped ordunance.

Wall Street Journal:

The stumbling recovery has also proven to be the worst since the economic disaster of the 1930s.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... TopStories

"Across a wide range of measures—employment growth, unemployment levels, bank lending, economic output, income growth, home prices and household expectations for financial well-being—the economy's improvement since the recession's end in June 2009 has been the worst, or one of the worst, since the government started tracking these trends after World War II. The unemployment rate climbed to a six-month high of 9.2 percent, even as jobseekers left the labor force in droves, from 9.1 percent in May.

"The message on the economy is ongoing stagnation," said Pierre Ellis, senior economist at Decision economics in New York. "Income growth is marginal so there's no indication of momentum.

If the Obamination is trying to destroy this economy, he is doing a good job.

The thing with the economy is that it is so messed up that it will take decades to fix.

Rampant Unemployment = The Death Of The Middle Class

http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/arch ... -wiped-out

Just a few points:

#2 There are fewer payroll jobs in the United States today than there were back in 2000 even though we have added 30 million people to the population since then.

#3 The number of Americans that are "not in the labor force" is at an all-time high.

#4 The United States has never had an employment downturn this deep and this prolonged since World War 2 ended.

------

Who thought a community organizer was qualified to run the largest economy in the world? The Obamination is the least qualified man ever to be in the White House. The Middle Class is paying for it.

There is no middle class anymore...there is only the elite class, the working class and the dependent proletariat class who keep the elite class in power.

‎#9 Only 66.8% of American men had a job last year. That was the lowest level that has ever been recorded in all of U.S. history.

#11 The number of "low income jobs" in the U.S. has risen steadily over the past 30 years and they now account for 41 percent of all jobs in the United States.

When the Obamanation has produced an economy where the words "lowest level that has ever been recorded in all of U.S. history" accurately describe it, one must question if this is by accident.

Analyst: Even Dollar Stores Struggling In ‘Obama Depression’

“In other words, the economy is continuing to be worse, the Obama depression continues to explode,”

Should we fool around with impeachment or go right to the treason trial?

Ron Paul announced yesterday that he is not seeking re-election to congress; to focus on the Presidential race. I am glad to see that he is that confident, but I'm not sure if he will make it.

Here are five reasons progressives should support Ron Paul for president in 2012:

If progressives were principled enough to cast aside labels, they would likely find Paul to be the candidate most suited to fulfill their concerns.

http://www.businessinsider.com/cities-t ... ees-2011-7

Half of Pittsburgh's tax revenue goes to cover city worker pension and healthcare benefits.

Pittsburgh's unfunded pension liabilities total more than $700 million. The city's public pension plans are less than 30% funded, one of the lowest pension funding percentages in the country.

San Francisco's pension system, which covers most municipal workers, has an unfunded liability of $4.4 billion, or $35,000 per household. The city also faces $4.3 billion in unfunded retiree healthcare costs.

----
So, not only does the Federal government have a problem with a future debt of $60 Trillion with Social Security and Medicare, local governments, like these cities have the same problems. This country is in a financial shit pile due to promises made without ever making plans to fulfill them.

State teacher pension plans are vastly underfunded too:

http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/cr_61.htm

What do you think the states will do when they do not have the money for the teachers pensions? Come to the state taxpayers, of course.

So, a guy has a sizable mortgage....then he gets a really nice car, a boat, a motorcycle, an awesome entertainment system, and a hot tub. He then has way more debt than than he brings in. What should he do?

A) Get rid of some of his things to balance his debt/income ratio.

B) Ask the mortgage company for more money to borrow.

C) Claim Bankruptcy.

D) None of the Above.

If it was the government they would do "B". And this debt ceiling issue is exactly that. They completely refuse to get rid of things they do not need. No wonder this country is on a train that is running out of control. Sooner or later it is going to derail, and then where will we be?

The politicians need to wake up, because we have more than enough revenue to balance a budget. They just don't want to. I guess it is easier to spend other people's money.

They are unwilling to dismantle their power base. I'm afraid that it will have no choice but to dismantle itself.

Many great empires collapsed from corruption within. It is often aided by over-reaching, like we are now having "hostilities" in 5 Middle Eastern countries, we spend 5 times more on military spending than any other country.

Has anyone seen these 2 videos of cops at work? One is an example of how it should be done, the other would have made a very promising guard at Auschwitz.

http://www.pixiq.com/article/good-cop-v ... f-two-cops

BTW, the asshole cop in the second vid has been investigated 16 times by the Canton police, but is still on the job. Authoritarian government loves its jackbooted thugs who threaten citizens.

Conservative Bruce Bartlett (former staff member to Reagan, Jack Kemp and Ron Paul) claims Bush tax cuts are the reason we are in the mess we are in today. Finally some right wing sanity.

Followed by Republican hypocrisy. Fiscal hawks spending out of control ?
