The 4% taxation, without an income tax, lasted much a longer time than what is going on now.

I think it is now evil that the government steals about 25% of GDP just to run the federal government, that is not even counting what the state and local governments take.

It is evil that this bloated, runaway government is shortly going to end this country. When those 10,000 people who turn 65 EVERY DAY, (and that is going to continue for the next 19 years) are denied those Medicare and Social Security checks, what do you think is going to happen?

Are 20, 30, 40 and 50 year old Americans still going to pay those Medicare and Social Security taxes when they see that the system has failed, and that they have been lied to?

This government got way too big, made promises that it could not keep, and it will be over shortly. And you cheered all the way to the end.

Clinton/Gingrich balanced the budget. Increase revenue by closing tax loopholes to off shore accounts and retro taxes to the rich (who are hoarding $trillions), increase tax breaks to American companies who are in the US. Stop subsidies to companies that don't need it like Big Oil.

You really have it in for the rich, don't you. Did they do something to you we don't know about? Are the rich keeping you down?

When the government spends and promises itself into a SIXTY TRILLION DEBT, it is more than a revenue problem. It is a spending and promising problem. The crooks who run the government spend and promise money that they do not have. The whole US does not have $60 Trillion.

Taxing the rich might make you feel good some how, but it will not come within 99% of the monetary problem we have. Huge spending cuts and drastic reduction in the size of government is the only answer, and besides Ron Paul, no politician wants to admit.

That is a good question, Bill. I'm not sure who I am pulling for yet. I want to look at all the issues first. So far they are all saying the same thing, that is what people want to hear. I want a true politician, someone who won't lie - I know you will never find one of those.

For what it is worth, I will look for someone who will repeal healthcare; have a good working way to to get this economy out of the shit house; have a good plan to get jobs back; be serious when they say we are allies with Israel; won't allow same sex marriage (I do agree with civil union laws, though); will only allow abortions in cases of rape, incest, or if the mothers life is in danger; will tell our enemies to kiss off; bring companies back to the U.S.A; lower taxes; reform welfare; reform disability; etc; etc; etc.

I am tired of talk and jabber jawing. I want results and someone who will walk the walk.
