Ampeg AX-44C. It's not that big and I've had it a while, but then I don't plan on going Pro. It's just for screwing around.

Does it have a gain channel?

I have two old (60's) Ampegs, Reverb Rocket, and Reverb Rocket II. No overdrive, but reverb out the wazoo. I am talking Taliban cave reverb, and a tremolo pedal too to get that slap back reverb/tremolo effect in Crimson and Clover.

Yeah, sounds good. Funny you should mention "Crimson and Clover". (what a cool song), I just ordered some Tommy James from Amazon---must be having a flashback or something!

Wow, what a strange story about Tommy James, and Pittsburgh plays a big part.

Look around for a used Boss GT-6 or GT-8 or maybe even an older Line 6 Pod product. Line 6's older stuff doesn't have near the FX as the Boss, but they sure do sound good!

I never recommend stompboxes cuz they're noisy, expensive (for what you get) and eat batteries.

Anything particular you're wanting to achieve? I love delays, flangers are always cool, chorus can be cool. For something like a boost, there are a lot, including the Bardels (Who also makes a lot of other stuff).

Just want to have some fun with different sounds, like the old fuzz tones and wah wah. You know like when you get together with some friends and just jam and drink and jam and drink some more! The more ya drink, the better ya sound! Well, at least I do!!! :D

it really depends on what kind of sound you are tryin to achieve. i have a crap pile of pedals but seem to only use a few, i use a marshal echohead, a tube screamer and a distortion pedal. with the occasional chorus pedal.

i can play about anything with those pedals. good luck!

The GT-6 and 8 will do that plus just about any other effect you can think of, including acoustic guitar simulator and smart harmony...but if you want to get a real wah, I would recommend looking up m2helmet (Dick Kos) on here and see if he has any of his mods for sale. They kick ass.

There are a million distortion stompboxes out there...i defer that opinion to the people who use them.

If you are interested, I may be parting with a Roland GS-10 which is more or less the table top version of the GT-10 which is their current flagship model.

I use a GT-10 live and its on par with any modeling FX units out there. If I decide to sell the GS-10, it would be $130 for the unit, power supply, Roland expression pedal (for wah), manual and USB cable. The expression pedal alone has a used street price of $30.

This box has every effect you can think of including guitar synth, intelligent harmony and acoustic guitar simulator and probably some you never heard of. It also has 3 simultaneous preamps loaded per program so that there is zero delay when you switch between sounds. You can dial up hundreds of presets and store 100 of your own.

You can also use it to record to your computer...it has a USB port and a microphone preamp.

I bought it for my solo act, but I am having 2nd thoughts because I would rather have a rack mount unit to take on the road. Here is the product page:

Sounds like something I would enjoy playing around with. If you decide to sell Lonewolf, pm me and we'll take it from there!
Thanks again all!
