yah thats what im saying and what i dont get is if its 20 and under what about the musicians that are over 20 that really doesn't make any sense you should should allow it to be all ages and just put x's on 21 and up but you guys dont have alch and you guys check for drugs so what would it hurt to allow everyone. I would come up and check the bands out if it was for everyone

Bad idea. 21-yr-olds can buy alcohol, and will simply do so before they arrive, then furnish it to under-agers. The whole point is to keep the bad stuff away from the kids. Alcohol also promotes fighting among underage douchebags, and in a city, that almost always leads to some little f**knut sticking/attempting to stick a knife in some other f**knut, or somebody gets run-over in the parking lot, or shots fired, or something.
Under 21 clubs sound good as an idea, but they always assume all kids want to get together and do something positive. They do not. Name one under-21 club that lasted 2 years without a casualty, or lasted 2 years period. Teenage boys will always engage in pointless pissing contests, and teenage girls will always create drama. What really sucks is that somebody who truly wanted to make a place for the kids will lose a lot of money and effort, I always feel bad for those people, they have good motives but their faith in other peoples' parenting skills is misguided. Obviously, there are great kids out there, but you know what they say about one bad apple...

yah but the underagers can be bought alch before the show and get drunk on there own terms and can be worked both ways regardless people are aren't stupid if you visual impaired obviously you dont let them in.

Yeah, not being allowed in is probably the number one reason they get their weapons out of the car, and use them.
It's not the 70's, kids don't simply punch each other and walk away anymore. They're taught by their culture that dissing is punishable by death, "respect" means that you are not to eyeball them or talk out of turn, and whatever they do, their parents will defend them.
In time, some little fart-knocker with his hat on sideways is going to have to show the other little fart-knockers how much of a man he is, and it hits the news, and they shut the place down due to public outcry that the clubowner can't control other people's demonseed children. Everybody loses. The only other scenario I've ever even seen is that they do keep a lid on kids, the kids get really bored and stop coming, and the place goes belly up... everybody loses.
Sure, it sucks that it's that way, blame it on the breakdown of the family bond, and it's pertinent responsibilities. If a kid never has to answer to parental discipline, and many kids don't, he will not respond to rules at a teen club. That reason alone is why there's no profit in creating an adult-style social gathering for adolescents.

How true. Back in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s, there were lots of all ages and under 21 places for dances WITH LIVE BANDS all over the place and hardly ever any trouble. The kids went to have fun. Nobody carried guns either. Not only did the high schools support dances frequently; fire halls, church halls, teen canteens, and other places were the places to go and were always packed with kids. Aces in Johnstown even had the Black Diamond Disco in Johnstown and lots of girls went there; so, the guys would follow even though they had a D.J. Heck, that is how me and numerous other musicians honed our muscial skills back in the day getting paid gigs to perform for big crowds of kids. Younger musicians don't have those opportunities anymore and the D.J. issue took away many of the gigs as well. I wish Club 814 all the success for attempting something good. I know that V.O.M.A. in Johnstown is now doing some all ages shows as well.

So this is what they made of the other half of the building. I was at Planet Ice a few months back and their gas sensors went off and we had to evacuate. It was rather cold standing outside while waiting for the fire chief to access the situation. So they moved all of us over to the other half of the building where there was no gas leaking. You could see that they were doing something with this half, but you really couldn't tell what. At the time it was just seemed like storage for equipment. Oh well...I think it basically looks the same as when I was in there with the addition of a stage. This place will flop...they really didn't put much effort into making it look like a night club. A stage, a few par cans, and some tables with swivel chairs does not make a club. And where the sign is with "Club 814"...that's a fake wall partition. There is a whole other half of a building behind that.
