The Jeff Beck Group was one of the most important groups in rock music. But not for their music. They were managed by Peter Graham, the infamous mananger of Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page had talked with Graham about managing a new group he wanted to form and Graham was all in. On the last tour of the Jeff Beck Group, Page traveled with the band watching the shows from back stage. The Jeff Beck group with Rod Stewart became the proto type for the mighty Zeppelin.
Page even lifted the music from the Jeff Beck Group. Zeppelin cut their own version of You Shook Me and the theme from Bolero makes it into How Many More Tmes.
