Arizona Immigration law in court today.

Don't worry, "Judge" Bolton's opinion will be easily overturned after two appeals--once it gets to a real court that has a majority of members who actually interpret law.Hawk wrote:Judge Bulton blocked part of the Arizona Statute because of the possibility of racial profiling.
This is from the Washington Post:
.
The opponents argued the law will lead to racial profiling, conflict with federal immigration law and distract local police from fighting more serious crimes. The U.S. Justice Department, civil rights groups and a Phoenix police officer had asked the judge for an injunction to prevent the law from being enforced.
"There is a substantial likelihood that officers will wrongfully arrest legal resident aliens under the new [law]," Judge Bolton ruled. "By enforcing this statute, Arizona would impose a 'distinct, unusual and extraordinary' burden on legal resident aliens that only the federal government has the authority to impose."
I was hoping for a legal opinion from the "Judge", but all we got was a personal opinion that is based on speculation. I wonder if Bolton even read the law?
That is essentially the status quo--the huge majority of illegals don't bother applying for a work permit and therein lies the problem.Hawk wrote:It's really so simple. The Democrats want to have them carry legal documents in order to get a job. If they can't get a job, they'll leave. I don't understand why the Republicans are against this ? Unless the Republicans are protecting those who hire them.
I would rather make it the responsibility of the employers to "sponsor" illegal aliens and take care of the work permit process. Illegal aliens should not get a work permit unless they have a specific job slot to fill. If that job is terminated, its time for them to leave...unless they find another employer willing to "sponsor" them. This would also take the fear factor away from the illegal alien who otherwise might be afraid to approach the authorities for a work permit.
Any other process is just pie in the sky wishful idiobabble that may sound good, but absolutely won't work in the real world.

That sounds like a good idea Jeff. Any way to get rid of illegals that does not use racial profiling is the way to go.lonewolf wrote:Don't worry, "Judge" Bolton's opinion will be easily overturned after two appeals--once it gets to a real court that has a majority of members who actually interpret law.Hawk wrote:Judge Bulton blocked part of the Arizona Statute because of the possibility of racial profiling.

The opponents who argues that it is racial profiling are illiterate fools on the liberal party looking for votes.Hawk wrote:Judge Bulton blocked part of the Arizona Statute because of the possibility of racial profiling.

I read the statute, I detailed to you as to how it can be interpreted. It is you who is blind.
Would you like to be pulled over anytime, any place, by local Gestapo to have your papers checked because of the way you looked ? I wished the illegals were white. Then you'd have a change of heart about profiling.
Are you against the workers proving they're legal as a way to get rid of illegals like the Republicans are ?
If it is only Democrats who are for illegals (not true) why didn't McCain do anything all of his years in the senate. Why did Bush cater to them, doing many of his speeches in Spanish to get their votes ?
Because the Republicans will attack on all fronts when they want back in power. Remember the "contract with America" from the Republicans. Surprise. It was promptly forgotten when they got their power back. Like they really wanted term limits.

I forgot, you can't answer questions unless Fox already told you what to Parrot.

You detailed to me how you interprate it. Not how it is written. You insist on blowing the air about how it is interpreted. Go ahead and do that. You just show me more and more how you are a pundit who doesn't take anything for it is, but what you want it to be.Hawk wrote:Parrotf.sciarrillo wrote:The opponents who argues that it is racial profiling are illiterate fools on the liberal party looking for votes.Hawk wrote:Judge Bulton blocked part of the Arizona Statute because of the possibility of racial profiling.

Everything that is happening with this shows me that the Liberals are illiterate schmucks who just want votes. It wouldn't surprise me if 99.9% never even read the damn thing. In fact, after looking at how they were with the health care bill; I would tend to think that none of them read it..
Also, Keith Olbermanns number one fan. I haven't watched any news in a couple of days. Good show there with the typical fox attack. Is that all you have? Grow the hell up and see what is around you for the first time your life. Remember, pundit, baby steps ..

Let me add this: I am against any illegal working in this country except for one condition - They have to be going through the process of being a legal citizen. If they are here illegally and are not willing to do that, then they shouldn't be able to work. The papers scheme is just a stupid scheme. If they want to be in this country to work, or live; they need to come in the right way.

Sorry if you think I am leaning towards one side. It isn't like that at all. lol - I am looking at this in a big picture. That being that I don't agree with amnesty and think they should not repeal a federal law that is in place to protect the citizens. The main reason why the Democrats are fighting against this whole thing is because they want to the votes. There is no other reason for it. Them not letting a state up hold a federal law shows that they do not care about laws and want it to be there way or no way.Flaw wrote:why is it always us vs them. you vs me? you are so blind. thank you media! Also, judging from things of past. I find it very hard to believe that anyone in the government read the laws that they are questioning. This goes for both Dems and Repubs. None of the snakes are in it for the country, they are in it to secure votes and care for themselves.
My strong feeling is that it is time for a third party. One that actually listens the people of this country and does things that are best for the country in a hole, and not for themselves - Ie, take a look at the past 18 months. The government has done nothing that the country has wanted, it was all what they wanted. They push bills through without reading them. And basically spit in the face of the American people. Why do you think the Congress approval rating is so low
When I find one that is like that I stated, I will support them. Until then, I am going to be divided on both sides.
On another note: Over 50% of the public doesn't trust the government either. Source: http://tinyurl.com/37hl94d

Frank, let me straighten you out. One DOES NOT have to be a US citizen to work here. Many are here legally and working without being citizens.
Now let me ask you some very simple yes / no questions and see if you can answer them. Undercoverjoe and lonewolf are welcome to answer these questions as well.
Are you for racial / ethnic profiling in order to remove all of the illegal aliens ?
Do you believe that the local police in Arizona are as competent as the Tyrone Police Department ? The Bellwood Police Department, The Logan Township Police Department, The Altoona Police Department ?
Do you believe that local police have the time and resources to track down all of the illegals ?
Would you like to increase the size of the US government in order to have the Feds step up and clear out all Illegals ?
Go for it...

Why is it that Bush had eight years to do something, Along with a Republican congress which included Arizona State senator John McCain, AND DID NOTHING ? For votes ? Or so his coffers could be filled by the companies who hire the illegals ?f.sciarrillo wrote: The main reason why the Democrats are fighting against this whole thing is because they want to the votes.

That, and the fact that they spent our tax money just like drunken democrats is why they got thrown out on their asses.Hawk wrote:Why is it that Bush had eight years to do something, Along with a Republican congress which included Arizona State senator John McCain, AND DID NOTHING ? Not to be outdone, today's drunken democrats are spending at exponentially higher levels and will also be thrown out on their asses.
This slow process will continue until DC sobers up.

There are shows on A&E that say that a lot of Hispanic gangs will kill or brutalize blacks and whites if they don't cross the street to get out of the way of a gang member. Racial profiling?
How's this for racial profiling? I hate illegal hispanics. Always will. I'd like to slaughter them all.
