From Clutch's website...
"12/3/04 VENUE AND LOCATION CHANGE - (11/23/04) - The show has been relocated from The World in Pittsburgh, PA to The Icon in Buffalo, NY due to the promoter for the Pittsburgh show going out of business."
Would The World be a promoter or do they have different people doing different shows? I hope to hell it didn't get shut down. I'm supposed to go see Hatebreed there next month. That would be the second show I got dicked on this year. Slayer cancelled the Pittsburgh Jagermeister Tour date, and now a possible Hatebreed cancellation.

The guy who owns The World is also the guy who promotes for a few local clubs, The World being one of them. We were just talking about this a few days back. I saw it coming after hearing about the E. Town Concrete show. That place wasn't doing good becuase they won't book local sponsored acts to try and help draw a crowd. Three signed Jager bands played(not really know bands though) and Lost Ledny is a local Jager band - they wouldn't even listen to me about putting a local Jager band on. We had more people show up for our show at The World than what E. Town Concrete had. You do the math! That guy lost thousands at the ETC show. No way you can run a business losing thousands. Someone else will scoop that place up - lets hope they know what to do a little better.

It has been confirmed - two more shows at The World and the doors are locked. Myself and Matt_22 stopped in there last night to check on a guitar head that had been left behind on the Zippo Hot Tour. Luckly, the head was still there and thank goodness we stopped when we did, cause the light tech. confirmed that after last night there would only be two shows left. This guy was bumbed. He said that he had been a light tech. for bigger venues since 1985 and things in Pittsburgh keep getting worse and he doesn't see things getting any better. He's moving to Columbus, OH and going to try making it out there. In my opinion - the music/club/bar scene is dying everywhere - WHY? The DUI laws - how can that have be at an all ages venue? I believe in the Pittsburgh area it's due to the shitty radio stations and lack of proper advertisement. Clear Channel is conforming so many areas to listen to who they want you to. Now that Clear Channel is buying up MAJOR, HUGE venues it's only a matter of time before the bands you once saw gracing that stage will no longer be able to play on it. Basically, what you hear on 105.9 the X is the only bands you'll see at a major venue. All other bands get the second rate clubs, minus any radio advertisement about the show. It's up to us to become more aware of who and where an event takes play. I suggest visiting POLLSTAR at least once a week or find another website that helps promote basically ALL shows in your area. TOO many clubs are going down and before to long the big cities, like all the small cities will slowly crumbly away.

Death to Clear-Channel!
I'm all about the free market and everything, but how can one choose an alternative to the greedy and bland corporations when there are no other companies offering a smiliar product (because they've all been bought up by said bland and greedy corporations)? Has Clear-Channel stuck its malignant claws into XM radio yet?

"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.
Howard Stern claims that Clear Channel has no control over XM radio nor does the FCC. That is why he is moving to Sirius radio. Right now Sirius stock is around $6-$7 per share. Want to get rich quick...jump on Sirius stock and watch it grow over the next year. Stern has 13 months to go on his existing contract and then he's off to Sirius. He has 20 million listeners daily. If a fraction of those buy Sirius units - CHA CHING!
